I confess, I voted for new, only because I haven't played old ones.

Gone for: Human Rev. (on 2nd playthrough now).

Played both of the 2 earlier games, liked 1st but found it rather over-rated, 2nd was just average.Finding series solid enough, but rather over-rated.....(Flameshield for The Vultures table please! ).

I bought the first game way back when at the recommendation of a few college friends. Still haven't got round to playing it though...

Do the games follow on from each other or can you play the newer games first without too much confusion?

You can go straight into H.R as it's a prequel, but there are plenty of 'easter egg' type bits to find/hear for those who played the 1st.Personally would'nt bother with 2nd (xbox/PS2) more dumber than a box of frogs.......

The first one was great but I like the new one even better.

The first DX was one of those life-changing moments for me. I bought it on release day after saving my pocket money for months. I adore the game and have played it through may times. for me it's the pinnacle of gaming!

The first one by a long shot. The third game is a worthy successor (unlike the second game), but it's still missing a lot of what made the first amazing. It's pretty much as good as they could make a modern day mainstream sequel, though, apart from a few trip ups here and there.

Orginal. Like Homeworld and System Shock 2 I walked away from it about 5 times but oneday I just "clicked" and never looked back.

The original Deus Ex will always be the best. Human Revolution suffers from hilariously bad glitches.

The original Deus Ex was far glitchier than the new one, but that was part of it's charm, really.

There were some pretty hilariously bad ones. For example, at one point you get experience points for picking up a certain item. You can then drop it and pick it up again and again to gain infinite experience points.

And here is my favourite Deus Ex video on youtube.

I voted for Human Revolution - the soundtrack really puts me way back into the late 80's!!!
