Even though I don't have my 3DS yet I'd still pick SSFIV 3D without a doubt. The original SFII feels very slow these days and doesn't have as many move's or features like Super has (Supers, EX Moves, Ultra's focus attacks) not to mention the character roster is much smaller (8 playable characters vs 35).

Bit pointless. How many people have even played the 3D one :?

Super Street Fighter II Turbo on the 3DO. SFII never feels unplayable and this is my favourite version (bar Hyper on the PS2).
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

But how many people on here will buy it, play it, make an informed decision and post a response? Most people will judge without having even seen the game.

Street Fighter II. Street Fighter IV is decent enough but the characters look stupid and the game at times feels like a parody. It feels a lot in movement like SF EX, and that was censored.

I've got to be honest. Capcom in general have really milked these franchises dry. Between the downloadable costumes and features that should've been included with the game in the first place, and the multiple versions of Street Fighter 2, I can't really pick either one because they both make me mad!

Street Fighter 2 Turbo will always be my favorite.

For me, the release of Street Fighter II turbo killed the original Street Fighter II for me, due to how slow
it felt after.

So, Super Street Fighter IV for me.

Will not be buying a 3DS so will not be buying a 3D street fighter. I have no want or need to play my favourate and newly found retro games in 3D. Thats just my opinion and everyone is different!
Atari 800XL thrashes the C64 every time!!!
(well, nearly everytime)
(OK, some of the time)

certainly I would of agreed with you, up to the point where I tried the 3DS.
it's not just the 3d.
the system actually feels so much better than the other DS units, and the thumb stick is great.
price is way too high though, I was fortunate to be able to trade in some stuff to get mine very cheap, but it is a nice bit of kit.

I was assuming that by "Street Fighter II" he meant any incarnation of the game, turbo, alpha, whatever. And I still choose II over IV. IV's cool and all, but the 3D kills me, and it's not that great to warrant purchasing the system (yes, I have played it).

Well, Streetfighter 2 is rubbish.

I played Darrans 3DS the other day and had a game of Streetfighter IV3D - and thought it was rubbish too................

BUT it looked nice in 3d so my vote goes to that
