SoR2 - Everything was better than the original and the sound track was the best I'd heard in a video game. Probably the best scrolling Beat 'em Up of the 16 bit era.

SOR 2 Bigger (in this case cart) really was Better!.Superb sprites, belting soundtrack, some amazing stages (barman fight in seedy alley, in the rain!), real feeling of 'doing some damage' when your blows connected.Pinnicle of the series.that 3 was such a step back...Just a travesty.

Well, i voted for SOR. Sure, the 2nd is probably the more rounded game, in terms of 'everything', but the first one was, as the original, my introduction to this world of SOR. Definately something of a rough diamond, and a pure pleasure to play, even now (despite the end of level boss that is 2 blazes with a pallet swap), and to my tastes, i think this has the better soundtrack - not nesecessarily in technical ability, but just sonically, the tunes are 'nicer'. And Blaze looks fitter here than in the sequels. And SOR3 was too off on its own to be 'enjoyable'.

Streets Of Rage 2 definitely deserves its legendary status, the other two games were good but nothing compared SOR2.

It's like the aliens films, the first is amazing, the third is a bit of a t*rd, but the second is the perfect balance.

SOR2. I can't see how it could be anything else.

Streets 2 had far better level design than the first and you could play as a kid on rollerblades. Easily the best, although I still perfer Final Fight.

The original was a decent effort in answer to the Final Fight conversion on the SNES (which didn't manage simultaneous two-player), although looks slightly dated now. SOR3 was good but didn't really improve on or add much to what a brilliant game its predecessor was.
Streets of Rage 2 is without doubt the better game in every respect. Lovely big sprites, superb music and sound-effects, and gameplay that never gets boring or tiresome (and that's without mentioning all the two-player fun it offers). Easily one of the greatest games ever made for the Megadrive.

SOR2 easily trumps not only SOR1 but also Final Fight. More moves and strategies plus its great enemies, backgrounds, and music. SOR3 is more-of-the-same but not as special as SOR2 - and SOR3's tunes are weaker by far.

SOR2 wins hands down for me - this has always been my favourite Mega Drive game of all-time... graphically brilliant and amazing music to boot...
