I know people won't have this just yet. But it's still a few weeks before we go to press.

Can we expect the Super Castlevania Let's All Play to start up in the near future? I've been looking forward to that for a while now!

Here here! I'm having a gathering of a bunch of my friends on the 17th and we'll be running through this game and a bunch of the other Castlevania games. I'm very skeptical on lords of shadow. While I have the special edition pre ordered, the reviews say it's a great game but it's not Castlevania.

you can't beat original, since it started it all, and Castlevania 2 on the NES was great, but super hard, the rest after other than the Snes game where pale in comparison, but Lord of Shadows is very much welcomed to the franchise all the same. We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

I picked new but, TBH, I doubt the new version will beat the SNES games.

Or the PS1's SOTN.

Whats the point of the question if most people havent played the new one? and why the heck is it just the old castlevania game and not Symphony of the Night, the best game in the series by far..

Just change the question to best Castlevania game for a much better poll.

Not playing the games has never stopped people voting before.

Can't believe the votes for the NES game it's utter censored compared to the brilliance that is Lords of Shadow.

Totally agree. The new game is fantastic, maybe not the best Castlevania but far better than the NES game.

I haven't played the new one (unfortunately), and it wouldn't be fair for me to pick one over the other without playing it. Still think Symphony of the Night is the best one, though.

unfair games to compare...LoD is a reboot such as Sympony of the Night back in the days.
What Castlevania you like the most then? THe Metroidvania ones? The classic linear platformer or the new God of War style brawler with very little platforming? Personally I'll always be in love with Chi no Rondo, but between the two games of this poll I'll go for LoD, it des a gret job in reinventing a classic in a 3d environment without doing something nasty such as the N64 Castlevanias...
my english may be a little rusty, but my heart's still retro

Now I've managed to get a copy of this, I've found it really enjoyable. Much more so than the first NES game (which I played recently, and found it a bit boring). The chance to ride a giant bug, Sir Patrick Stuart as one of the characters and loads of hacking and slashing action? What's not to like???
