Feature Idea - Mr Do!

Post by slacey1070 » Tue Aug 24, 2010 5:06 am

Struck me as I played on MAME the other day, how about a Mr Do! feature (unless you ran one before I started picking your excellent magazine up)

To my knowledge there is Mr Do!, Mr Do Wildride, Mr Do Run Run... & some unofficial 8 bit versions too - certainly from Ocean and wasn't there a BBC version of Mr Do too?

I loved this game, remember clearly how there was a cabinet in the old computer shop in the Westgate centre in Great Yarmouth, the very shop my first ever micro came from, the Vic 20!

I also clocked the C64 version on Mr Do...

And weren't there some licensing issues surrounding the arcade version?

Anyway, I'd find it interesting....!

There's certainly been a Mr Do! feature before - either a Definitive or Making-Of. Not too long ago, IIRC.

I'm pretty sure the last time we featured Mr Do was in issue 22.

Ok - I don't remember that - so assume it wasn't a BIGGER feature . . . a trip to the back of the cupboard might be in order to have a look.

I reckon the series would make interesting reading, as would the conversions... well, interesting for me anyway!

How I'd love it on XBL!

Daz,

My index says RG 21, pages 52-55.
(From memory, it was a really good article, quite comprehensive. Kudos to whomever wrote it.)

as we did cover that fairly recently (by which I mean in the last two years).
