Hi everyone :)

This month's question is

Good question. Tempted as I am to go for Shadow Dancer because of the best use of a doggie in a game ever, I'm gonna plump for Revenge.

The 2nd Mega Drive Game I ever owned, the music, bosses & the disco level bring back so many good memories. :D

Shadow Dancer, because that's what 1997 was really like. Ah, the good old days.

The Revenge of Shinobi. I first played it as one of the titles on Mega Games 2 which came with my first Megadrive. Great game, never got past Spidey though...

Only ever played arcade Shinobi, so choose that. Great game; only let down by the inability to 'Continue' during the final level. How annoying that was the first time I got that far!

Although I love the classic Shinobi, the most enjoyment I've had from the series was the Sega remake on the PS2, simply called "Shinobi".

For me it would be the Original classic Shinobi, while away on holidays in Pontins in North Wales back in 1988, I managed to pull a holiday romance from a female onlooker while playing this..so it has to be the Original Shinobi for me :)

I'm going to head out to left field and nominate Alex Kidd in Shinobi World. I just love the cute little ninja outfit, and it was the last Alex Kidd game released to date...

Shinobi 3 is an awesome game, fast, fun, and a great improvement over Revenge, but it's a close second to the awesome GG Shinobi, with it's Metroidvania-lite take on the normal Shinobi template.

Sadly I've never played a Shinobi game, so consequently do not have a favourite.
As such I stand no chance of getting my name and quote in the next issue...

Nuts... is it too late to say arcade Shinobi?

Got to be the original. No matter how many times I play it I still get the feeling that i'm playing something special - and i've completed every version of it (except the Gamegear version - which somehow seems more difficult!)

There is no Game Gear version of the original - they're completely different games (incidentally, remember where you got GG Shinobi from? Yep, you still owe me!!!  )

Shinobi Legions, even though its gameplay isn't quite as good as the 16-bit games. Its very entertaining to me, and I like the various ways you can use Sho's sword to slice and even block shurikens.
