Re: Official Feedback Thread - Issue 78
I am very excited to read this issue, but I am in the States and don't know how long it will take to see it at the Barnes & Nobles store. (it used to be 2-3 months behind the UK publish dates). Will post again once I read it.

It was one of those articles that just capivated my attention-always been hankering after an in depth look at the 7800 saga and this article delivered in spades.Good work indeed.martyg wrote:Glad you liked the 7800 article, had a great time writing it.thevulture wrote:Tha Atari 7800 and Thunderforce articles however? Superb!. These kinda features are why the magazine gets so much of my time.

Ummm... quite want a 7800 now. Joust and Food Fight look really good.
Re: Official Feedback Thread - Issue 78
is there any proven method to finish rockstar ate my hamster ?

Re: Official Feedback Thread - Issue 78
According to a games book I have, Lara's only that big up top due to the coder 'accidentally' increasing her bust size by 150% during the programming stages of the original game. He was going to revert the mistake but the team decided to keep it.

It is in the article, but it's 20% bigger, not 150%.
It was a very good article, I thought.

Oh rly? Just checked the book and it says 150%. I trust RG more than Guiness World Records Gamers Edition though. Stupid book. No wonder I never read it.necronom wrote:It is in the article, but it's 20% bigger, not 150%.

Re: Official Feedback Thread - Issue 78
only read half of it so far - beeline for the thunderforce and shenmue articles.
i found it a bit weird that the thundeforce article didn't feature more input from the developers of the titles, seemed more like the knowledge of some dude who really likes the games. i'll have to give it a re-read. did like it however:)

Re: Official Feedback Thread - Issue 78
bit late to the party this month, but have half read today and am enjoying:
Thundeforce article - enjoyable, with a fan-type angle
Atari 7800 - the guy from the US did good - a great introspection - and now I want one....
Rockstar Ate... - somehow I never knew this game existed, despite all the review reading I did back in the 80s - love it when RG shows me something new
Magnetic Scrolls - never played their games, but enjoyed reading about what i missed.
my only negataive would be the cover (and not because Lara doesnt deserve coverage), but the actual design is so bland by RG standards - a white background and a few Lara images? Looks like something someone did in 5 minutes in photoshop. Lets have a busy, colourful cover next issue

For anybody wondering where the developer input for the Thunderforce article is, check out Darren's Youtube video of the latest issue - all cleared up there

The 7800 article was very good (surprisingly good if you're ok with the insult), and now I feel like we really need an interview with some GCC people.

Just fired off an email to Colin to get an answer on this. If I get one I'll post it on here.
Re: Official Feedback Thread - Issue 78
cheers man,i seen his company mentioned in the mag but would felt rude emailing to ask just about that

Re: Official Feedback Thread - Issue 78
The article about the Atari 7800 is really interesting! Plus, the great Magnetic Scrolls article! Do I need to say that the rest of the issue is great as always?
