Here is an idea for all you guys that cannot part with 12.99.........

Wait for 18 months and see if the price is halved - that way you can grab yourself a real bargain

My local Smiths STILL has a stack of about 12 copies of Volume 1 that it's trying to get rid of for £3.99.
As requested by the Tw@t himself - his account was Hijacked and has had a change of password.

Sorry Dexter!

If it anything like the largely shallow first one then £12.99 is a rip-off. I'll wait until it drops to a fiver again and if not c'est la vie.

I found it in Crawley yesterday. They had loads of copies. I didn't fancy paying £12.99 for it though so I started a fire in another part of the store and, in the confusion, walked out with a copy shoved up my jumper. It's pretty good and was well worth the untold cost of life and damage to property that I paid for it.

It has finally arrived at the Kingswood branch of WHS in Bristol. Although you have to squat on all fours and peak at the rear of the lower most shelf to find it tucked away!

It's a good read but there's a surprising amount of overlap with RG. A lot of the games featured appear in RG as well - and there is only so much information you can print about each game.

That's a co-incidence unfortunately. Any retro mag worth it's salt is going to cover the popular retro games that everyone remembers, otherwise you'd have a hard job trying to sell your magazine.

Any idea if this will reach U.S. newsstands, would like to get a copy, was lucky I grabbed the RG Anthology when I saw it surprisingly.

I got one and it looks great. Since I don't get Gamestm that often, this was a good way to catch up with its retro coverage and represented reasonable value I thought. It's more of a book than a magazine and is priced accordingly. I couldn't find it in several shops I visited though - the option to buy online would have been welcome.

I think it's p*ss poor that the mag is only available in a select few Smiths. I appreciate this isn't your fault, but it is certainly restricting the amount of copies sold.

The same thing happened last year, and it was only when it started selling well that they did a 2nd run (which then flooded the market).

I have only access to 1 Smiths, and it's still not here. I even got my brother to check the WHSmiths in Gatwick airport (when he was going on holiday) but it wasn't there either.

If anyone would be willing to buy me a copy, I could pay via paypal (obviously with the postage charges paid as well). PM if you can help.

I still can't get hold of this too so if anyone would be willing to grab a copy for me and I'll send a cheque or p/o down for £12.99 plus p&p. Pm me please if you can help.
