Do you like the new Xbla game or Sparkster on the SNES?

I thought the sequel to RKA was poor, and I was dead relieved to see Rocket Knight having more of the spirit of the first game than Sparkster. Rocket Knight is far better.

Although I'd say a better new versus old would be RKA vs RK, to be honest.

Problem is while RKA on SNes and megadrive were the same iirc Sparkster was two completely different games

SNes one was ace the Megadrive one is not so!

I think RKA was Megadrive only actually... anyone want to confirm that?

I'm really feeling this new version of Rocket Knight on XBLA/PS3. Between lush forests, an epic yet old-school score, and arcade-like gameplay, this may be my favorite of the series.

I loved the original, but I'm also really enjoying the new one. Doesn't have the Ruins tune, though. And the drill move is more akward. I'll have to say, solid effort guys, but Sparkster'll take some beating before it'll be bettered.

Rocket Knight - my favourite megadrive game of all time - amazed people have never heard of it - there was even a feature on the remake a few issues back.

Never been lucky enough to play Sparkster so cant compare - but even if it's half the game Rocket Knight was - it'd be a great game

Yeah, it's an odd comparision to make. This new one seems to have more in common with the Mega Drive game than the SNES sequel - even has the same music on the first level!

Rocket Knight Adventures is one of the best games ever made, Sparkster on the Mega Drive is one of the WORST games ever made, I haven't played the SNES one, and this new one - judging by the demo - is alright, just a bit limp. Colourful, great music, just not all that much fun. Overpriced as well, for what it is.
