Oh put it away!

Post by MikeFishcake » Sun May 09, 2010 4:23 pm

Any chance you can do anything with that stupid Allods banner ad with that woman's arse on it? Whilst it's not pornographic, it is slightly dodgy if you're at work or looking at the forum with a child in the room.

(Plus the wife keeps winding me up about looking at "dodgy websites" :-P)

I agree. I do get a bit paranoid about having the site on at work with that ad (even though it really is tame).

I use FF, but (at the risk of dragging out a long discussion), I don't think people should be encouraged to use Ad Blockers because a lot of sites rely on ads for their main source of revenue.

I doubt that the fairy's arse has much to do with the game (unless it's an arse-trading game, which would certainly be unique), plus it just looks, well, stupid and desperate really.

I like it. It doesn't take over my screen if I accidentally brush the mouse over it.

Don't like it, same as I don't like the similar ones on other sites - I don't see why a cartoon of an arse encourages people to play something? Weird.

Heh, I was going to make a thread about this but didn't bother.

Presumably it's one of those MMO's that assumes all gamers are virgins so by promising virtual arse, it'll get their attention

I must admit, I find my eyes wondering upwards to that banner every now and then
