Issue 20 is here

Post by AdamDawes » Sat Dec 24, 2005 5:15 am

To my great surprise, issue 20 just arrived on my doorstep. :) What an excellent early Christmas present!

Only had time to flick through so far but it looks just as good as the last issue.

Thanks guys!

Hi guys

yes, it was a surprise Christmas pressie for those we could manage to post out late yesterday!!
We didn't want to get your hopes up, as it was touch and go if we could get it back from the printers in time!

Hope you like the 'surprise' cover artist too :-)

Merry Christmas to you all from us at Retro Gamer and Imagine. Hope you have a retro time reading No.20 and here's to a whole year of RG next year! :D

All the best, Markie.

I got a special treat from Imagine in the post this morning (not Issue 20) a copy of Rebelstar on the GBA and Shining Force Final Conflict on Game Gear. This could well be the best Christmas Eve ever!

Now if only I had Issue 20 in front of me.

Mine also dropped through the door, but as I'm living in France, only just around half-way through issue 19 which I'm reading and loving during my holiday back at home.

Really nice timing to get the next one, I was actually wondering if it would arrive before I have to return :)

I assume (I hope) it's going to hit the shops earlier than 5th January then?

ah, saw myself mentioned twice this month.. first in the letters pages (although havily edited, losing my point about the style), and secondly in the brazil article, i wrote the WotR-article on brazilian arcades John (thanx, great article by the way) mentions, see ... favela.htm

The Good
Craigs's Article, Brazil both inspired me to read them (even if i have just sold my sp for a shiny new Ds, but in this case it's the samething), the technos article anwered some questions i always had (why the players in Worldcup looked like they did for exemple)

Stadard, but quality stuff: as always, the DiD's and the back2the eighties were good

I thought the speedball 2 article would go a bit deeper darran, as you've written quite a bit about it now (in games tm).. it just told me things i already knew. got a bit bored with ultimate/rare as well...

haven't read the rest yet, and as i said in the other thread, compliments for getting it in holland so quickly

That's a fair point mate. One of the things I want to do in future is get more developer input into the magazine, sadly, the deadlines at the moment aren't giving me as much time as I'd like. Hopefully this should be resolved from next issue onwards :)
