Roland On The Ropes II ...

The first game, which came free with the Amstrad CPC464, was an ingenious blend of jerky scrolling and grating sound effects which gave the illusion that you were playing a sub-standard platform adventure when, in fact, you were playing the inspiration for games like Grand Theft Auto III and Halo...
As requested by the Tw@t himself - his account was Hijacked and has had a change of password.

Sorry Dexter!

Another SNES title I'd add is Super Smash T.V. That game is extremely hard.

Another World - the way it ended cried out "there is a sequel". But there wasn't one.

(yes I did play Flashback...)

also,

1. Armalyte was only a sequel for marketing purposes - the developers did not make it to be a sequel. Or want it to be one..!

2. Wizkid was a good game. IMHO. Definitely a sequel.

Star Wars Arcade for 32X! The only Star Wars game for the 32X. Of course there is dozens of star wars games on other formats! But this one really captures the feel of the reality when 3D was starting to sweep the nation at the time of release. It was one of the best titles for the 32X. The reason everybody knows that there is never a sequel because of the ultimate demise of the 32X!

Head Over Heels (on Amstrad CPC, Speccy & C64) - I aboslutly loved playing this - see my coment to last months forum question - and my avatar pays homage to the fact I still love Head Over Heels - a sequel would have been very nice but I suppose HoH was so difficult that no one would have bought the sequel cos thay hadn't completed the first!

It's a shame that there isn't more (decent) isometric adveture games around.
