I'm a fan of this month's cover but not of the centre fold. I can see the idea behind it (Gameboy/DSi on front, consoles inbetween in the back) but reading the mag is a bit fiddly - especialy in the bath.

As I said in the bath... I mean, in the feedback thread, it feels like it keeps biting my hands!

It's eye-catching though, should stand out on the shelves. That combined with the DOUBLE-COMBO HIT of the instantly familiar Gameboy and up-to-the-minute DS, and I'd be surprised if this issue didn't generate a little sales peak - for the sake of that I can live with the minor discomfort.

That's unless the edges get all tattered to hell in Smiths...

Loathe em from a PRACTICAL point of view.

But they ARE eye-catching.

Damn these hands.

Much prefer the Megadrive type one if these are going to stay. This month's read is a bit fiddly.

I can't say I'm a fan of it, but I'm glad RG are willing to try something different from time to time. We've had sparkly snow, raised lumpy bits, double covers, and now odd split ones. They also aren't afraid to put things like black and white spectrum screens on the cover. I like people to do things in a different way, so even though I don't always like them, I appreciate the thought that's gone into them.

Any chance of another of Will's covers soon?

it depends - they've all been different.

Dont mind them occasionally - but wouldnt like to have them every month. At first I liked this month's cover - but now i've tried to have a quick read I realise it a touch impratical - good graphics, but poor playability as it were....

Looks good, tricky to hold, blatant ad for DSi in the fold-out kinda ruins it.
No problem with advertising, of course, but keep the editorial and the advertising seperate, or you lose integrity.

Not a great fan , but tbh , it also depends on the context. It could have been so clever - how about a Dungeon Master portcullis , which opens up to reveal a mummy? Or
how about Bank Panic swing doors, which open to reveal a gunslinger? That would have been really cool! 8)
Instead we get a photo of 2 games machines with an advert underneath. :(
Also this months cover omitted a few subtle nice touches to concentrate on the advert , which is a VERY BAD Thing

All great ideas, but you're only looking at it from the cool cover angle.

Not a fan. Added expense for little gain.
