Man I like the above post

MKII is the DEFINATIVE version of all the Mortal Kombat games ever released.

I played MK2 very differently to all the people that complain about the enemy AI, so I can't comment on how un-fair it is.

I do know that there is a way round the problem when in 1Player mode, and once you have sussed the pattens (all characters apart from the bosses, Kintaro and Shao Khan have the exact same patterns) they are so easy, and you can guarantee almost consistent "Flawless Victories"

The weirdest thing about the arcade version is there are two different AI settings when in 1Player mode. The "Control" method (where you can partially control the CPU opponent) only works on the Right hand side, and the "Freestyle" is much harder on the Left.

As for Shao Khan, he can actually be beaten with ONE move, and not even a special move at that. (Low kick)

But yeah, thanks to all the "Unbelievers! Dissidents! Heretics! and Sinners!" there will always be many people ready to complain and winge about a game they obviously don't know how to play very well.

Bloody hell! MK sure does get a LOT of flak on this forum  I really like the series.
Cant comment on MK VS DC though, might get it when it comes down in price,

It's the best MK game by far.

I own both, I like both but I have to go with MK2. There are more fatalities, there's more blood...
MK vs DCU is a one of kind MK game...

It seemed that Ed Boon and company started to get lazy with the fatalities after MK2. I loved the work that was put into individual fatalities in MK2, such as Kung Lao's "banana slice."
