All subscribers from the Live era got 3 free copies to entice them into new subscriptions. It worked!

Imagine gave people up to 3 free issues as a gesture of goodwill after Live screwed everyone over regarding subscriptions. It was very nice of them, but unfortunately these didn't get taken into account when I got my sub, so now I have 2 copies of 3 issues
Edit: pipped!

Just before Live "screwed up" I got a copy sent in the post with an offer to advertise in the mag for a few hundred pounds ( I was working in an indy at the time) then the next month it all went tits up.
I was glad I never took them up on the offer but even more so it worried me about subscribing

I guess that all the advertisers were sorted out but I think I will just carry on buying from WHSmiths for a while yet...

I should subscribe really because I've bought every issue since it relaunched but i get it from either my local newsagent or WHSmith.
Funny thing is my local newsagent only has room to stock about 5 games magizines but always has Retro Gamer, whereas the Tesco I go to has a much larger gaming section but never any Retro Gamer.

Same here. Huge selection in Tesco (Mold), but no RetroGamer. So I have to drag my arse into town every time.
