Well, your going to annoy the OCD brigade with the subs cover and its vertical logo...

We like to mix it up a bit.

Ian Lee's post this month was very honest. Placing too much emphasis on collecting certainly hit a nerve with me back in the day. Hope he is well...

I'm the opposite of Ian Lee - if he would like to donate me some of his gear, I would take it off him.

I've sadly been in the position of having to sell stuff but now I would love to collect it again; sadly eBay seems to know this too.

Yeah I’ve had mine for a week already.

Loved the R-Type article, lots of stuff in there I didn’t know.

I’m less impressed with the Donkey Kong Jr. ultimate guide being in landscape for 6 pages. Very tricky to read that in the bath.

Weird, ok so I called the number in the mag on Friday and got through to someone at Magazines Direct assuming they'd just send me another one out... but they had no record of my subscription! It's not like I'd ordered this from some weird site or it be a gift sub or anything, I have subscribed since reading issue 1 and perhaps had to re-subscribe when the mag moved to Imagine Publishing but my sub has been rolled over ever since! Consequently I have no record of my subscription number.

MD basically disowned me! What the absolute eff am I supposed to do now?

That sucks, man.

Perseverance and dogged badgering MD will be your only option. I hope you get it fixed. Surely, they have records of previous issues sent to you?

I said that but all she said was, we have no record of your subscription, you must have bought it from another mag supplier which yes I did 15 years ago and my sub was being rolled over from Imagine to Future and so on. I recall getting an email saying there was a switch from MFM to MD as well.

That R-Type piece was a great read. I feel that R-Type Final 2 is a cracking entry, looking forward to seeing all the DLC stages as they come :)

R-Type final 2 is £35! Seems a bit steep to me (would have bought it if a bit cheaper)

It sounds like they’re in it for the long haul with this game, so I’m sure it’ll come down in price later and it’ll just be the DLC that may remain a bit pricey?

My subs Issue was damaged.

Asked for a replacement and got the newsstand edition.

That’s very disappointing, and the second time it’s happened.

I would guess that to save on costs, they only print as many subs copies as there are subs.
