@Oswald If you want to get technical, both the BBC Micro and the Amstrad CPC were capable of much higher resolutions than you could get out of the C64: Up to 640x200/256 pixels in standard graphics modes and even more with overscan. 640x256 in 2 color right? :lol: I'm really waiting for some exampl...

well we could take it to a technical level, the c64 will wash all other 8bits off with its gfx and sfx. and only loose in the cpu speed department. But thats evened when it comes to smooth scrolling and sprites not even the z80 can keep up with nice custom chips. just a few examples: http://noname.c...
