Craig, IMHO the case is that RD's difficulty level wasnt outstandingly hard back in 89. the gfx was awesome, the controls were fine, puzzles, etc afterall it had quite a lot of things you havent seen in other games at that time. maybe you should read the comments on lemon @ lemonamiga. As a C16 owner as a youngster i spent many hours playing great games on it. Two of my favorites were Monty On The Run and Mr Puniverse. Both platform games and very addictive to play. The Spectrum, Amstrad, BBC (mostly UK) were very popular in Europe but were never successful
little correction there:

- The Spectrum, BBC were popular in UK.
- Amstrad was big in Spain & France IIRC.
