Re: Spectrum Vega Plus Poll

I must have much lower expectations about being kept informed than some others, have those citing lack of information actually received any campaign updates? As I said I have over thirty of them, can't say personally that I have ever felt there has been a lack of information about the product, each ...

Re: Spectrum Vega Plus Poll

Well theyve just posted pictures of some of the units they had delivered today. Tomorrow will be high quality pictures/video booting up/playing a game etc. Should be great Anyway onwards and upwards. Looking forward to the video tomorrow Absolutely unbelievable how out of control the vitriol has go...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Not sure why quite a few people on this forum seem down on the console - have they actually played on it? I certainly won't slate it without trying it but then again, there'd need to be some interesting, new titles that I actually want to play. Getting Zelda on Wii-U so other than that, there's doe...

Re: Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

Been playing the Wii U version tonight, thanks to another great delivery from The Game Collection, really beautiful game, just massive in scope, the controls are absolutely perfect, soon had Link scampering around the landscapes climbing trees, collecting all kinds of inventory, clobbering a few cre...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Saw the first Switch adverts last night, claiming 27 games available at launch, and trying to put the party feel back into the Nintendo experience, it seems a quick draw and cow milking game are enough to turn a room of 20 somethings into raptures! The little tablet seemed a bit lost on the table as...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

I was meaning the memory card that went into the joy pad, not the memory expansion. And ten to 35 quid more for the games compared to Sony and Sega games is a bit more than a tad more expensive! I volunteer at a computer museum in Cambridge, full of other gamers and geeks, not a single one of us has...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

During the Euro launch, N64 had Mario 64, the revolutionary 3D adventure platformer, Turok, the visually impressive 3D dinosaur shooter, Wave Race 64, the jet ski racer with amazing water physics, Pilotwings 64, the nice arcade flight sim with huge draw distance, FIFA 64 and Star Wars Shadows of Em...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Both machine variants still available to pre order from Nintendo, the grey one had sold out, every person I knew who had pre ordered one has cancelled theirs now, so I won't get to try one outside of going into a shop which I rarely do these days.

Re: Sinclair QL

The QL is nearly as bad an idea as the Electron Very much so, the excellent drama 'Micro Men' really tells the Acorn & Sinclair story well, Chris Curry wanted a machine to take a much larger slice of the games market than the BBC Micro had, while Sinclair hated the fact the Spectrum was primarily a...

Re: Sinclair QL

I own three of them, one loads a Microdrive every time, but has a bad picture, and yellowed keys, one does not load anything but has a nice picture, the case is also rough, and the third looks pristine, but has a non functioning keyboard or drives, my aim one day is to make one decent one. Games wis...

Re: Wii U Owners Thread - Including User IDs

50 sheets is a lot for a game, but I guess it's a pretty big one. I've never pre-ordered from Gameseek before, I assume they're pretty reliable, yes, not like Zavi and the like who will just pull the plug when they realise they could've charged a bit more. I personally would never touch anything fr...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

You technically can transfer your WiiWare and Wii VC games to the Wii U. It's a lot more time and hassle than it should be, but you can do it. I'm hoping they come up with something more streamlined for Switch. I know, and I did that, it was a massive pain in the neck to do, took absolutely hours, ...

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion

Also is there any word on Nintendo ending their stupid policy of shackling games to a console and not an account, that really should have happened with the Wii U, to keep the digital games I had on the Wii and Wii U, I have to hang onto the latter console, not that I mind as I am really quite fond ...
