Re: Out of Tekken 1,2 and 3 which is your favourite? and why
I "grew up" with Tekken 3 and have only played the other two a few times. I really tortured my thumbs with that game. My favorites where Heihachi and Brian.

Re: PSN is down for quite a while.
The only thing missing for me is Facebook posting of my trophies :) I mostly enjoy games offline and alone, but I hope it gets up again by the end of the month, so we can get the new PSN+ stuff. Regarding rumor about credit card information, I really hope that Sony uses the proper way to do that stu...

Re: The Civilization thread
I played the first one on an old 386 machine back in early nineties. Later on I got Civilization 2 and I believe that is without competion the game I have ever spend the most hours playing. And it is still my favorite to date. I never did get into the third one, but I recently bought IV and V. I hav...

Re: Retro gaming: Is the main drive nostalgia?
Cant say it is nostalgia that much. I am from '85, but my first consoles was N64 and PS1, but in terms of retro gaming, I prefer games from machines I've never played at the time like the Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega Mega Drive and TurboGrafx16 as well as older PC games. So no, for me it is not no...

Watched A Bullet for the General yesterday. A very violent spaghetti western with a mexican revolution theme. Great fun.

I just got Speedball 2 Evolution. It is great fun and easy to pick up and get started, even though I've never played the game before.

Re: ISSUE 87 Feedback Thread
Just got it downloaded on the iPad and flipped quickly through it. I don't know many of the games covered this month, but I usually find the articles interesting anyway. Especially the From the Archives article series.

Need advice on buying a TG16
I am thinking of buying a TurboGrafx16 from consolegoods.co.uk, but I have a question about the different versions. There is a version with an RGB modification which is about £15 more expensive. What is that and do you need it to play on modern LCD TVs or something, and is it worth it? Also, is ther...

Re: Introduce yourself
I am 25 and from Denmark. I grew up with an old 386 PC playing games like Civilization, Lemmings, Silverball, Supaplex, Shoot'Out, Winter Games, and later on a GameBoy and when I was old enough, bought myself a Nintendo 64 and a PlayStation. However, it is only in the last couple of years I've becom...

Re: What era do you consider as "yours"?
Probably mid to late 90's with N64 and PS1, as well as some PC games of the time. However, it is not that period I consider my favorite now - that is the 16-bit era a few years earlier. Guess I was born a little late for that.

Re: First Game Ever Bought?
This is not easy to remember precisely. I remember some of the first game I played on an old PC, but I didn't buy any of those games myself. The first console I bought was a Nintendo 64 with Super Mario 64, but I had a GameBoy before that. Just not sure which games where presents and which I bought ...

Re: Is Retro Gameing Anti-Hegemonic
The only thing that sort of made sense to me in your post, was about games being more like movies today. And yes, that is part of the reason I like retro games, when you just want to play a fun game and get to the gameplay as quickly as possible, but the other bullcrap? I mean -- seriously wtf?
