Re: What happened to the PSP?

PSPs are fantastic.

I have a Phat and a Slim.
I love Skype on my slim.
I also love to watch old TV shows on it, and play a lot of PS1 games too.
Some great websites out there too that show you how to do all sorts of things Sony probably never thought of.

Re: I really like the Amiga

get a 1200 then add some mods to it.
Loading stuff from CF cards sounds fun.
I'm just starting to piece together mine after having a lot of fun with a 500+ recently.

Re: Jack the Nipper - Newbies corner

so, I thought I would get this to try on my PC as I can only just remember playing it back in the day. I managed a dismal 5% naughtiness rating. not very naughty at all. Mind you I did get the pea shooter, but as soon as I tried it I got swarmed ! and that was the end of that. Off to try being nicer...

Re: Official feedback for issue 62

I just had a little issue with something Darran wrote within his review of Boulder Rocks 3D. And you might already have heard this, if so apologies for bringing it up again, but I have to say I went to that website to download the game, but the English Flag you talk about is no such thing. That woul...

Re: From the forum question for issue 64

Does Elite count as First Person Shooter?
I was just thinking it should, kind of...

so, that's my favourite then.

if not, well then I don't like First Person Shooters. I need help, so I become the 2nd person in a 1st person shooter.
all too complicated.

Re: help reqyuired finding tape deck for Speccy

Thanks guys !
there's an Argos near where I am visiting.
I would think a new one would give me the best chance of some old tapes actually working !!

Now I just need to find a bunch of duplicate copies of games to test it out with !

help reqyuired finding tape deck for Speccy

Hey People, recently won a nice looking Spectrum, but it came without a tape deck. So, I wonder if there is anywhere a person could pick up a new one? or if anyone has a used one, feel free to drop me a line ! also, my other issue is I live in Canada now, so voltage is only 110 here. Might be an iss...

Re: Nintendo DS-every retro fans dream?

Nope mines PSP. Easiest system to hack, and great for home-brews! i played it a few times and it left me with a distinct feeling of meh. its a bit big and uncomfortable for using the controls but mostly theres no decent games on it! many of the so called psp exclusives have been ported to other con...

I have to disagree with you there.
You can simply do more with a PSP.

But, DS for what it is, can actually do some things pretty well.
and like you say, all of one easy to use cart.

I'm liking both right now.

Re: Hey guys, I'm looking to get my feet wet...

I'm up in Canada, and have found it tough finding stuff like you mention on this side of the pond. I do have a Spectrum coming over, and I'll let you know how that goes as I also bought an adaptor to run it through my PC LCD monitor. In the meantime though, especially as you are a Nintendo fan, get ...

The danger of 'bricking' it seems rather high, if you believe the sites I've read! I think the 'danger' is overstated. If you follow instructions to the letter, then no problems should be encountered. go here : http://forums.qj.net/forumdisplay.php?f=48 have a read, it's fairly simple to get emulat...

I'm really liking this game. I do find though that in general my patience for actually getting into and playing a game is very small now compared to back when we used tape recorders to load stuff.... is it just the amount of games out there now that mean I want my fix and I want it now? maybe I'm ju...

I'm a huge PSP guy ( got 3 ) and love them for emulators and especially PS1 games, which is what I use it for most I guess. ALso just this week got Location free set up on it, and for about $90 US I can now watch MY TV, and all it's many many channels wherever I can find free wireless ( which is alm...

OutRun, with a ridiculous amount of time left. But, I did play it a lot. also, there was one in an arcade I went to every week, where I would leave after getting the high score, and when I came back next weekend, there was a new name a the top. Same name every week ! I never met this other person, b...
