Re: New retro gamer website feedback

Hi, I'm probably being dense, but I can't seem to even see the login link. As I was registered on the old site and had submitted a review of Chaos, I thought it'd be a good idea to search for my review and maybe try backtracking from there instead, but sadly it seems to be gone (and replaced by a re...

There may be hope for seeing my review in print yet then...

Thanks!

Re: Collectors needed

My collection started after I had to sell much of my old games collection about 9 years or so ago. Basically, our cat got run over and I ended up selling the vast majority of my games and consoles to Gamestation (back when they still took in older stuff) to help cover the vet bill! While I managed t...

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 122 Official feedback

Just thought I'd mention that I thought Stuart Lee's column was excellent this month - very poignant and a cracking read. I did notice that was his penultimate column, which is a shame - any ideas why this is? On the subject of the XBone ads, I was a bit surprised by the visual overload and the leng...

*Awaiting approval?

Hi, Just a quick question - I submitted a review of Chaos (for the ZX Spectrum) a very long time ago and each month, take a quick look at the issue to see whether my review has been featured, (it hasn't). However, when looking at the review just now, I noticed that whilst 5 people have commented on ...

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 112 - Feedback Thread

Bought my copy today and personally loving the issue. So many articles that interest me, to the extent that I'm selectively reading it, saving the articles I'm looking forward to the most until last. I'm especially pleased to see the Chaos article as its one of my favourite games of all time, (certa...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

As for the retro deck...i just saw it on the grass and had to have it. I think its a work of art. It was only £4.50 so i doubt i've been fiddled  I don't know anything about them at all, but i recently picked this one up too: http://i934.photobucket.com/albums/ad188/nokgod/th_IMG_3363.jpg ......

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Strictly speaking, I haven't bought these in the last week, more in the last 10 days, but... After looking for each of these for the last decade or so, I managed to find a working C64 and an Amstrad 464 Plus within 7 days of each other at car boot sales. The £5.00 C64 works a treat and has been thor...

Re: Official Feedback Issue 99

Love the mag as usual. But... C64 winning vs the Spectrum? No. No No No No No. No No No Nien Niet Negatory Non. Nope. Can't agree with that. For a start, virtually everyone I knew had a Spectrum until they upgraded to a 16-bit system. I think there may have been one person I knew with a C64 and I ha...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Not really bought them this week, but actually just before Christmas - found some old Megadrive games in reasonable to good condition in the Cash Generator round the corner from where I work. I picked up the following at 99p each: Syndicate Cannon Fodder Speedball 2 Micro Machines Turbo Tournament 9...

The main places I used to visit in my youth were Skegness, Ingoldmells (nr Skegness), Weymouth, Great Yarmouth and Ilfracombe. I used to know the whereabouts of at least 1 Star Wars cab in each location, and my little brother used to know where all the Pole Position cabs were. Nowadays, I've been ba...

I've just been reading the thread and am pleased to know I have a lot in common with a lot of you! I don't know whether I am a hoarder or a collector, but I am constantly building up my collection of games, (which in itself has been building since the early eighties). Like someone else mentioned ear...
