Re: Hunchback

Simple, strangely addictive game, mostly through abject frustration. I remember friends and I losing shedloads of 20ps on the second screen at the machine in our local Working Men's Club, trying to get across that damned rope swing. Once you have mastered that, the rest seems relatively straightforw...

Can't really dispute a great deal of what you've written Crookedmouth. I suppose we are similar in writing, although Steven is quite a bit more defensive about the game and its properties than I am. I'm still skeptical about the game but I just hate to see a nice bloke get the censored taken out of ...

we should at least give him the benefit of the doubt & some respect because he written boatloads on the subject. Hear hear, welcome Kaja, couldn't agree more. Steven deserves a lot of respect in my opinion - he's been polite, genuine & given up a lot of his time for this forum. Don't believe him, f...

Some good bits and bobs here but with all the power avaliable out there, there could easily be a very viable game with all ten doctors. Surely with all the new found popularity, a licensing deal could be concocted. Patrick Troughton was the best. Tom Baker a close second, Colin Baker a long last. Ho...

agree, and thankyou for your kind words. You're welcome, credit where it's due. Similar comments could apply to your contributions Craig so thanks for the compliment. I WILL leave it there for the sake of the thread Yes, I agree and will comment here no more. This is a largely eclectic and enjoyabl...

Whoa. easy fellas. Opa - you have an extensive and vast knowledge of video gaming so your opinions do have some weight behind them & your posts are always good reading, plus you're local. I've spoken to and corresponded with Steven many times and I can categorically state that he does exist. He is f...

OK, fair comment guys, my apologies.

It's just that i've taken a fair bit of stick regarding this Polybius thing and a big part of me wishes that I hadn't got involved so my nerve endings are a little raw.

Yup, it's not exactly Retro Gaming but what an amazing comeback by everyone's favorite Time Lord. Sarah Jane may be 58 but she's still got it. There really should be a definitive Doctor Who game after all this time, it doesn't need me to say the possibilities are endless. If todays bland and banile ...

Well, i'm pleased that there is some sort of official postscript to this - I've enjoyed reading the article and am pleased that Steven was asked such credible and varied questions rather than trying to debunk what he was trying to say. Steven has put a lot of effort into responding to people (includ...

I completely agree - i feel i've got the rough end of the wedge in many ways and received some stick for cutting and pasting from my own e-mail account so at least people can judge for themselves rather than hop from webpage to webpage reading cack.

Easy - Super Bug on the Arcade. First game ever made with a scrolling playfield. These people who put these games together - they get absolutely no recognition for their achievements & came up with some legendary stuff. Stuff yer Saturn and ditch yer Dreamcast - this is an example of true retro-gami...

Has to be the PC Engine for me.

Probably the first console that had arcade quality games and was bursting with original, often bizzare titles by the time it reached these shores. I remember how disappointed I was when plugging Hang On into my Master System the year before - what a difference.
