Re: "Replay" Manchester 2012 - where could it be?

Manchester already has its fair share of stuff on that weekend Katie Melua is playing iirc A Manchester arts festival is on from the 7th to the 21st and afaik it's the Manchester Weekender that weekend as well. Doubt its the GMEX unless they are sharing with this My main guess is that its going to b...

Re: Replay in Manchester and Earlier

Seems like Im much the minority in this case. fair enough. Im not really bothered about being the lone dissenting voice. As I tried to say earlier, this side of the Northwest gets absolutely crapped on in terms of things going the way of the bright lights and big city that is Manchester. I've got no...

Re: Replay in Manchester and Earlier

'Play' (Formerly Replay) Discussion 13-14th October 2012

Sad Times that the event doesnt feel it can have a spiritual home and has sold out to the big city and bright lights of Manchester. Everything ends up there. First the Footy Museum, now this. Shocking turn of events. It's now in the middle of October as well. What a Gyp Winter Gardens not big enough...

Re: For Retro fans not interested in the Next Gen.

I'm a retro fan, I'm not interesting in this gen, nor at present in Retro. In fact gaming is really a low priority at the moment and its only the retro comps I play that keep us in the habit. I upgraded my phone and got a Wii with it in November/December. It's still sat there boxed up, never used. a...

Re: Today I quit my job

^Nowt wrong with that, I absolutely hate it when you get sneery f*ckers looking down on people's jobs " Oooh, look, he works at McDonalds, hence he's a retard ". Hate that attitude in some people. I was out of work for three years and it took me aaaaaages to get my current job, it's only ...

Re: Today I quit my job

Quitting a job is done for many reasons, and lambasting the poor guy for doing something that he feels is right is well a bit mental. People who have been negative are only being cautious as they dont want to hear in a years time this poor guy cant find a decent job and his family are struggling. A...

Re: Today I quit my job

I think people have bought into the hype around no jobs a little too much. There are jobs about, its knowing where to look that's the issue as not all of them are advertised neatly and succinctly. One of me mates has had 2 different jobs since xmas, and got them no problems. Another was made redunda...

Re: GAME - Comet owner OpCapita has offered to buy out GAME

According to reports Game need to find £180 million to pay it's creditors within the next week or go into administration. It reportedly includes £21 million in rent, £12 million in staff wages, £10 million in deferred VAT, and £40 million to suppliers. Not looking good if it's true. That 12 Million...

Re: Shenmue and Skies of Arcadia

Shenmue, add me to the it's rubbish side of things Basically It's not a good game. So they have beautiful graphics and added retro? Long and dull exposition, tedious cut scenes, and game play that well is fundamentally dull add up to an experience I'd rather forget. Some one put it too me that playi...

Re: Resident Evil - Simply the worst movie I have ever seen.

Mainly because I dont give a toss if the films pay lip service to the games, the Resident Evil films are decent actioners/zombie films in their own right. I couldnt care if that bit or this bit is true to the game or not, because if I wanted it to be like the game, Id play the bleeding game rather t...

Re: Space shooters

The old school Battlestar Galactica game for the PS2/Xbox is half decent. Closed missions, but flying the vipers against the cylons is decent fun. Ditto Robotech Battlecry which has some epic space battles, but isnt purely about space.

Love me some Wing Commander IV as well
