Re: Operation Wolf + Lego = Operation Block

Thanks for the kind words, guys. May I suggest you change the name to 'Lego Operation Wolf' though? I think it would be more meaningful... I think I'll stick with the current name, as what you've suggested makes it sound like it's one of the "official" Lego games.... which it most certainly is not. ...

Re: Issue 67 Feedback

Great to hear John S has been found alive n well! (I was worried he was doing a "Global Gaming" article on the depths of the Amazon, and just took a long time to return. :D ) I used to find his "pick a country" articles really interesting, and he kindly answered a few of my noob writer's questions b...

Operation Wolf + Lego = Operation Block

Since this month's RG has a super-mega Operation Wolf article, (BTW: HURRY UP POSTMAN!!!) ...it seems a great time to announce my gaming remake project. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v369/David_Manning/Operation_Block/OperationBlock_title2_444px.png It's something I started for the 2006 Retro Re...

Re: Issue 67 Feedback

I realise that Bomberman* & Op Wolf* will be attracting most of the attention,
but if anyone has a bit of feedback on my 2nd Why You Must Play
(even via PM if you want)
that'd be appreciated.

Thanks

*Come on postman!! I want to read these!

Re: From the forum question for issue 67

Fave "top down racer"??

Sensible answer: Auto Chase on the censored Smith Wizzard (aka Creativision) A nice fun Rally X ripoff.
Less Sensible answer: Outrun, with the nude cheat. (think about it)

EDIT: Haha "d.i.c.k" is censored, even though it's the name of the console!

Stvd, apologies...
I meant the bottom of my blog post (that I'd linked to)
not my thread post (in RG forums). :)

Support Steve Wiebe w. "Go Steve Go" wallpaper

In just on 4 hours , Steve Wiebe will attempt to smash Billy Mitchell's current Donkey Kong record, at E3. I'm firmly on the "team Wiebe" side - and have made a PC wallpaper for the occasion. Preview below. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v369/David_Manning/J-OMG/GoSteveGo_preview.jpg The artwork...

Re: Subscriptions Queries

Lucy, I've been a happy RG subscriber for a number of years. Recently, RG sent me my annual "This is your only chance to renew at our lowest prices!" letter. It was posted on May 8th, and said "Hurry, save etc, ONLY FOR THE NEXT 14 days!!!!" But it arrived here (Australia) on May 26th. 4 days after ...

Anyone for a "New in Box" Robotron cocktail cab? Or 2?

No, I'm not making this up.

It's listed on UK ebay.

And here's my blog post about it, and the fabled Time Travel Warehouse,
which was once full of hundreds of arcade cabs frozen in time from the early 80's.

So... does anyone know...
did anything else from the TTW end up in the UK?

Re: Great Retro-gaming websites - the sticky thread!

Fascinating thread; if I only "repeat visit" 10% of the links so far... I'll still have hours of reading. :) My blog JustOneMoreGame (linked in the sig below) offers a rather unique collection of gaming news. Retro + Indie + Coinop Sure - there are plenty of sites that cover 1 of those styles, but r...

Solve this puzzle? Having terrible problems with this forum

Hi, I can't "reply" or "quote reply" on any old threads that I've posted in before . All that happens - is that I'm immediately dumped back at the "seeing all the forums" list. Yet - if I click on "reply" or "quote reply" within a thread I've never touched, it works perfectly. And - as you can see h...

I'm currently getting:- Hmm, news.retroremakes.com isn't loading right now. Will try again later. :) Sorry to hear it didn't work Kenz. In the meantime if you follow the 1st link in my OP, it will go to my blog where I've linked to offsite mirrored versions of 30 entries. That way - you can try out...
