If you try aminet (an amiga software download network which you can find by googling as there's different urls) you'll find helpful documents and some really good compression software that not only handles lha but all the other popular formats (anyone else ever remember disk masher?). You should als...

Well at a car boot sale not far from my house I noticed this guy had some amiga stuff that he absolutely wanted rid of. So for £40 I got the 1084s monitor, a boxed amiga 500 with half a meg expansion and a A600 with some games. Everything worked perfectly except for the A600 which was ineed of a li...

Hmm that's a tough one as I can think of a few games that dosn't really sit comfortably in one genre but here it goes; 1)Top down rpgs, usually the japanese ones (both turn based and real time) 2)Point and click adventures; can be old skool or 3rd persion as long as the right mixture of story line a...

I agree with the comments on halo... My mum bought me the pc version for christmas one year and I thought it was absolutely dire. The only exciting bits were in the car and that was because it was a novelty. One that soon wore off. And since home alone was mentioned I thought it was my duty to slip ...

I agree the monkey island 2 ending was rather dissapointing and erm cunfusing to say the least. I think what made it worse was the fact that the rest of the game was complete genius. At least the sequels made up for it. And as for Soul Reaver, well you have eidos to thank for that. Always one trying...

I understand what you're saying and I admit super street fighter 2 and the turbo sequel were superior games (I own both) but with 3 external drives and hd in 2 of my 4 amigas it really didn't bother me all that much. Besides I couldn't play it on my snes as every time I switched THAT on my addiction...

I agree that the suikoden ps1 games should be re-released, given the fact a save from suikoden 1 can be taken through all 5 games and how disgustingly expensive the originals sell for. When the game came out hardly anyone except us die-hard rpg fans touched it but then Konomi released the sequel in ...

I'd have to say Amiga hands down. Programming on it was a breeze (I was doing AGA assembly before starting secondry), it had the best games by far and not to mention some of the best coding teams started on it. The ST wasn't nearly as good at paralax and as for sound, amiga was better it's was just ...

Hmm I thought Street Fighter 2 on the amiga was quite good.If you owned an amiga then you had to get use to disk swapping or invest in hard drives/extra floppy drives and street fighter wasn't the worse. Bloodnet AGA is 11 or 12 disks long and indiana jones foa was pretty close too. Besides at that ...

There's an added twist when it comes to compatibility since there is really 2 versions of the A1200 - The Commodore Model and the Escom Model. Escom took over Amiga when Commodore went bust and decided to re-release the A1200 with a very silly hardware change, that being the floppy disk drive. Amiga...

I'd have to say simon the sorcerer... I'd have an even better sense of humour cast extremly powerful erm, spells and I could dress like a girl without being a weirdo. Not to mention that I could give swampy a really good beating (not in a sexual way ahem) and have the voice of chris barry. Ei...
