I got both Rouge Squadron 3D (the first one) and Heavy Metal Fakk2 for 99p each brand new in store. Both games turned out to be pretty good.

You can download the pc version of fascination from the abandonware site french-kiss but good luck trying to get it to work. And as well as scummvm you need to download VDMSound (and the launch pad for it) dosbox and the frontend d-fend. Experimenting with these and checking through google for guide...

How about the best game that deserved to be a classic but didn't sell well due to either bad timing or people just not getting the concept? A deathmatch style poll with game bosses would be pretty cool too. As for amiga 500s being unreliable, it was no different than any other 16bit home computer an...

Don't know if you realize crazy but you can download a patch for that escom disk drive. I've heard it works fine although it didn't seem to with my machine, check it out through aminet. You'll run into plenty of compatibility problems because of this either way...

Well it's had to 2 remodels and alot of the games are either retro or retro influenced. I mean by that token, the GP2x isn't either, but that's another machine that deserves coverage. And you can at least find 1 mention of the xbox 360 in each issue due to the xbox live content. At least the gba is ...

It's fairly easy to pick up the software and cables nesscesary to network your pc to an amiga and by doing this you can create adfs of your stuff for safe keeping and put em back on disk again if anything nasty happens. WHD Load mentioned above is also a great idea that won't just help you preserve ...

Gameboy Reviews In Issue 27

Hmm 71% for Astroboy? I think the reviewer may has been on crack when he wrote that. First the game is pretty huge for a GBA shoot-em up and then you have the insane over the top boss fights, the amazing graphics, sheer speed, and then leveling up moves through the character/emotion system. I'd have...

That's a toughy but it'd probably be the when I 1st killed ruby weapon in final fantasy 7. Can't remember the exact combination but I had my materia set up so every time I attacked all my hp and mp went back to full and between knights of the round and limit breaks I totally kicked his ass. Hell I d...

In the american Silent Hill when you get trapped by all those little ghoules with knifes... well originally it was kids with knifes and only got censored for PAL release which peeved me off as I totally disagree with game censorship. Oh and ginja did you ever re-load your save for Parasite Eve and p...

In my opinion (with the exception of True Pinball for the PS1) the amiga had some of the best pinbball games ever. And here they are; Pinball Dreams Pinball Fantasies Pinball Illusions Pinball Mania (This game actually sucked and came bundled with Escom A1200s) These and True Pinball were created by...

I have all the Sonic Adventure games on my Gamecube and I love them as much as the originals. Some people hate all the new characters that has been added since the first adventure and although I can see their point I think it gives them game variation. See I'm not a HUGE platformer fan (I love the o...

If you have an Escom edition A1200 then by downloading a patch off Aminet you can make full use of high density disks. I've heard this patch works fine but I never did get it to work on my Escom A1200HD. Best bet is try to get double sideded, double density disks from ebay as this will probably be y...
