Re: Gaming "I have nevers"

- I have never play a Final Fantasy game - I have never bought/owned a Nintendo home console 'new' (including handhelds, original GameBoy was the only one I ever had as new) - I never owned a Game Gear or a NES - I have never played a fantasy WRPG as a rogue-type, or indeed as any class that didn't ...

Re: Future Classic : Vanquish

Played it about 18 months ago. Fantastic game: oozes style, controls are fluid and the combat is exhilarating and challenging.

Cost me £2, as well.

Re: Dragon Age: Inquisition

I do feel some players are criticising a very solid game when the weakness lies with their sappy completionist OCD or unwillingness to tailor their experience when the option is offered. I'm certainly guilty of that. I know I didn't have to close all the rifts or collect all the shards, but I just ...

Re: Dragon Age: Inquisition

Finally finished it, clocking in at 65 hours or so. Overall I guess I enjoyed it, but then I love fantasy RPGs anyway so will always have the slight bias. Nevertheless, I actually think it's the worst (or should say, 'least good') of the series - yes, I think DA II was marginally better! Here's why ...

Re: Games and Humour

I played Lollipop Chainsaw over xmas and that had some great jokes in it, and was generally funny throughout, loved it. Brutal Legend was quite funny in places. Bulletstorm brought a smile to my face at times, with it's tongue-in-cheek, completely over-the-top machoness; a great game that didn't tak...

Re: PS4 year one

Been considering getting a vita for a while now. Does the connectivity to the ps4 actually work well? If it does I'll probably get one for my birthday. Same here. I'm going to Japan in April and I'm considering picking one up there as they're much cheaper than they are over here. Would be nice to u...

Re: PS4 year one

I only got mine three weeks ago today, on my birthday, from my girlfriend. Family chipped in for some games, so I have DA Inquisition, PES 2015, Shadow of Mordor and Alien Isolation. I'm deep into DAI, and loving it; giving PES 2015 a bit of a go and am waiting for the next transfer updates; the lat...

Re: Dragon Age: Inquisition

Got to kill a dragon to get all 104 shards. One of the skull thingies in Emprise Du Lyon wouldn't let me use it until I'd slotted the dragon near it. Very annoying. Only collectibles I haven't deliberately searched for are the mozaic pieces. Too boring a task. I'm going finish the last few astrariu...

Re: Dragon Age: Inquisition

Clocked about 35 hours now after a couple of marathon sessions over the weekend, and I'm still hooked. I think that there is perhaps a bit too much content and filler in some cases: I'm bored of closing rifts now, and the claiming of keeps is also starting to grate a bit. Unfortunately I'm a compuls...

Hiro wrote:Half Life 2 had a very good AI, both for NPCs and enemies. One of the strong points of a masterpiece.
I thought the AI in the first Half-Life was even better (the special forces, I mean).

Re: Dragon Age: Inquisition

The walking is more than compensated for by the game's generous approach to Fast Travel imo. Establishing Inquisition camps etc makes all the maps much easier to traverse and they're worth exploring for hidden stuff anyway. Ah, I missed that (have only unlocked two camps I think, and just never not...

Re: Dragon Age: Inquisition

Got this with a PS4 for xmas/bday from my girlfriend. Maybe I'm just less patient than I used to be (or have less time to play games) but I find myself skipping through conversations a lot more than I did with DA:O and DA2. Perhaps months of playing Diablo has given me an appetite for instant action...

Re: What UNWANTED Xmas gifts did u get?

My aunt and uncle gave me a selection of cheese crackers. I've no problem with food/snacks as gifts if it's something like a box chocolates, which you can continuously dip in and out of. But cheese crackers aren't something you can just tuck into whenever you feel like it; you only ever eat them on ...

Re: Elite Dangerous

Is there a demo or trial available for this (searched but can't seem to find one)? I'm massively keen on playing this game (big fan of space-combat sims back in the day) but I'm not confident my laptop can handle it. I was worried aswell because my processor is less than the minimum requirements fo...
