Re:

Excellent news. I love the C64 so if its in the same format etc it will be brilliant. Are you planning to have the same number of pages and the same size? It should be even more successful than the Speccy one though as so many more people had it and its clearly the superior machine.  :...

i think a lot of people were called out in the 'anyone know ALOT about Windows' thread. Its not really for me to be bothered, I just like this forum as everyone is on the same wavelength, the thought of every new thread being invaded by crass comments doesnt do it for me. The majority of us here see...

New posters?

ok, im not exactly the largest of posters, but is it just me or are there a lot of new posters/members who are posting unbelievable crap, and just generally pisstaking? Or am i missing some kind of ironic joke? A few names ive seen sound like poor attempts at sardonic pisstaking, and their posts tal...

Re:

Didnt realise this was public news over here ! Yep great news about the C64 book, despite being a Speccy fan i'll be ordering one of these for sure. Good luck with the project Merman, i'm sure it'll look great once you finish it and very useful for non-C64 owners to see what games are worth trying ...

i was horrendous at frontier. The combat was a bit poor, you spent ages taking one out, then 3 more came, i spent more time aimlessly spinning the craft around and shooting, as i usually ran out of missiles, than i did doing anything else. Its deffo somthing ill be getting back into via winuae thoug...

Amiga Jack the Ripper

Does anyone remember a proposed game Jack the Ripper for the Amiga. A demo was released with one of the big mags at the time, and was quality, but the game was shelved before release. Its a shame as the demo was very atmospheric and had good puzzles, would have been nice to have seen a full release....

this book is awsome, got it today, had a half hour leaf through. The format is fantastic, so too the presentation and the writing is fantastic. Screenshots are bringing back so many memories. As someone who stupidly binned a massive collection of Crash, YS, SU etc some years back this book is an exc...

Re:

@submerge as long as cpu emulation is set to match a500 speed and the fps is set to 50fps there's absolutely no reason it should go any faster than it's meant to. edit: oh and set to a 68000 cpu as well, anyway using the quickstart a500 config would sort all that out. Superb, always used to run it ...

The main issue i have is with the speed, although i am probably missing somthing glaringly obvious. Taking my fav game ever on the platform, wings, on my REAL Amiga 500+ (now long gone) the speed was nice and slow, very choppy in places but it made it far easier to target planes and take them out. A...
