Re: Best 2-Player games on SNES / NES to play with Girlfrien

Any Bomberman related stuff goes down a treat. I play bomberman with my girlfriend and it's a great laugh. Mind you I have Mega Bomberman for the Sega, so I don't know how good the SNES/NES versions are, I'm guessing theys be similar.

Re: Games You Disliked but Everyone Else Liked

Never heard of Dataworm before but it looks like a proper game for a change, I might give that one a go. Does it matter if they play a game on Facebook or a console if its a good game? Educate them and steer towards the 'good' games and away from the 'bad' ones. But it has to be in an environment t...

Re: Photo's of your retro collection.

Most of my stuff is at home, (I'm currently at university so logging down all that stuff would of been silly). Anyway while at university I've turned a new leaf and started collecting S'Nes stuff. Tis what I got so far <3 (Most happy with my R-Type III (pal) and Rockman collection) http://i263.photo...

Rapid Gunner (Beta) (Independent Game Development)

Well, I thought I'll show this off because quite frankly I'm rather proud of it. I'm a second year animation student and we've got to make a documentry, so I decided to quickly create a fake game (with my own custom graphics and engine) and talk about how I made it. Thing is...I'm actually making a ...

Re: In 'the zone'

The main game I usually need to find me zone is Geometry Wars 2, mainly in Pacifism mode. When I'm in the zone with that, I can achieve scores of 1,000,000,000 and beyond, sometimes.

Re: the long and short of it

Quickest: Gunstar Heroes on the MD. Roughly about a hour or two to complete that gem.
Longest: Sonic 2, even if the game is short, twas the first game I've ever played and I'm sure I've sunk about half a year worth of my time playing it. Ok maybe not that much but a sure a hell of a lot of time. =)

Re: Games You Disliked but Everyone Else Liked

Most people have actually said what I dislike too, like RedDead' BnK' Nuts and Bolts, Resident Evil 5, (some extent 4 too), Any Halo games, CoD, and the new 3D Mario's (past 64). And any generic FPS for Xbox.

Also it would appear all my friends loved Bubsy...so I guess I can add that too my list...

Re: Retro game treasure found

I've just bought a lot a of games for a SNES I've neglected for about a couple of years. Playing it lately has been a dream. You must get Super Metroid though if you do buy one, it's been such a treat, seriously Super Metroid gives me such geekgasms.

Re: What are you currently playing?

My Astro Go! Go! game came today so I had a quick blast on it...and after about 15 minutes I actually felt a bit of motion sickness from all the colours and weird mode7 angle. I guess it's a game I can play a sick trick on some of my friends. Tee hee.

Re: Genres you miss/are glad to see the back of

If FPS's go I shall most likely be a happy man. Yeah of course they're some ones that I'll enjoy playing like Perfect Dark, Doom, Turok II (to an extent) although now adays it's been butchered with clones of greyrubbish. What I do miss, (in more commercial scenes) is 2D based platformers. I mean it ...
