Re: From The Forum issue 176 - Favourite football game

I think International Superstar Soccer on the SNES was the first great realistic football game, and ISS Deluxe mostly improved on it. As well as the play, I loved the cries of "dirty play ref" from the commentator, knocking the camera men over, scoring from the halfway line with Jergen (Netherlands)...

Re: Gaming's Greatest Icons

Shigeru Miyamoto without question. As a younger child with an Amstrad CPC I always used to get excited when I saw "The Darling Brothers" or "The Oliver Twins" on a game cover. Even leaving aside The Oliver Twins' Dizzy, Operation Gunship was awesome, Skiing was great as were some of the other simula...

Re: Does anyone find it hard to let go of games

Yeah, I still have a load of Amstrad CPC cassettes that haven't seen action for 15+ years I'd guess. They do look cool! I've played some of them on emulator so at least by having the original I'm doing that legally. At least they're not as big as the game cases of today. I don't find it difficult to...

Re: Sim City or Theme Park?

I'd probably go for Sim City as it had more long-term value. I could never get past the first country on Theme Park if I upped the level above easy, and sometimes I hated losing my brilliantly (to me, at least) designed parks when I had to move up a level. I'm another who would have picked Theme Hos...

Re: Reader poll: Best SNES games?

Has this been in the magazine yet? I've only just read issue 118 with the top 25 Mega Drive games which led me to look for a SNES version. If there's still time to include my votes... The best at the top: Terranigma - What an adventure, I can't put this game into words. My favourite RPG of all-time....

Re: Official Feedback Issue 85

I rarely buy magazines as I subscribe to Wanderlust and barely have time to read that, but...when I saw the Rareware cover I just had to buy that - the interview was superb reading and I would have been happy if it was another 18 pages longer (are there any unpublished answers we could see??) - anyw...

Re: Fav system, game, accessory and software company and why

System: SNES. Classic games from start to finish, many which have barely dated to this day (probably due to the 2D graphical style). Game: I can't name one...Snake Rattle 'n' Roll, Terranigma, Secret of Mana, Lylat Wars, Perfect Dark, The Curse of Monkey Island, Tetris Attack, Ocarina of Time - they...

Re: Your Top 100 Most Favourite Albums Ever

Wow, that's a couple of lists closer to my tastes than any music forums I've ever been on. The closest I got to doing a top 100 of all-time was a top 100 1992-2007, which is here: http://rateyourmusic.com/list/TheAlex/_1992_2007__15_years_of___erm___ill_try_and_think_of_a_more_original_title/ Who's ...

Ace of Base did a song called I Stole the Sun?

I've been listening to mostly new music recently, but I was listening to Kate Bush a couple of weeks ago.
