Re: Today

Today, most people in my office are either already on holiday, or have somehow swung it to all "work from home" at the same time. Almost empty office. And no work to do. After weeks and weeks of full-on pressure. Ho hum.

Re: The happy fluffy kitten thread

Well done you for following that route. I fully endorse and support this action. A friend of mine was the chief fundraiser for our local CPL for years, raising literally millions of pounds to support them, they do great work. I know to some people they're 'just cats', but they're 'just cats' that w...

Re: (Apologies in advance) New car advice

Apologies for hijacking the thread a bit... but... Long shot, I know... but does anybody here have either a Toyota Alphard or a Nissan Elgrand? Need a bigger car, and kind of fallen in love with these. They're not cheap, and import only, but I'm tempted by an older one. Just not sure which to go wit...

Re: Which book(s) are you currently reading?

Read a couple lately. Girl on the Train (ok, but the "twist" was entirely predictable, I thought). Gone Girl - a better twist in this if you have avoided any spoilers etc. Quite enjoyed it. And now part-way through the Dirty Havana Trilogy.

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Elder Scrolls Online Gold turned up today, and I borrowed Fallout 4 from my stepson. Could be when I finally "get in to" current gen gaming :D 8)

Re: Owning games for consoles you don't own and ltd box sets

when games cost so much to buy from some sources, it's NEVER a pointless idea to pick up games that you can use to trade or sell to purchase the things you do want. it just all comes down to how lazy you are at making those trades work out

Re: Owning games for consoles you don't own and ltd box sets

I have a load of Saturn games and a big box of BBC games, with no way of playing them. I've also got some 2600 games, but I do have a console. No power supply though so never got round to checking them

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Went to an Everyman cinema and watched Arrival at the weekend. Film was excellent, thought it was really good. And the food/drink/sofas etc at the cinema were a bonus!

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

might have to watch Lost World again. I only saw it (and not even all of it) once, and thought it looked a real let-down disappointment after the first, I didn't bother again. Saw literally snippets of 3 before giving up on it because of itv2 ad breaks. really enjoyed World at the cinema though :D
