Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

just watched the finale of Season 2 of Fortitude, and I'm a bit disappointed to be honest. Enjoyed the whole of the first season, and the second was going along nicely, til it went a bit over the top and ridiculous. And not really satisfied with the ending.

Re: Name the Game

No worries, glad it was the right one :D I'd actually forgotten all about the game until this post came up  Bit of a trawl around the past, I remember Grannys Garden, Dinosaur Discovery, Dread Dragon Droom, something about the Mary Rose (I think)? Was trying to think if there were any others. A...

Re: 2016/17 Football season chat

Most ridiculous sacking in a big long line of ridiculous sackings. They don't sack the players, do they. Win the league with an entirely 100% unfanciable team, and return back to their "normal" level the year after. Of course you can see why they've done it, it just means they've already wiped out a...

Re: From The Forum issue 166 - First Amiga Encounters

I had seen a few photos in the shared c64/Amiga magazines, but it was only when I went round to a friends house and saw him playing Batman The Movie, followed by me having a go on New Zealand Story that had me immediately 100% sold on it. I saved up my paper round money for months and months, and it...

Re: Name the Game

I'm very much in the South, and we played it at our school
I don't remember the full title, I just remember the way the name tripped off the tongue!

Re: Name the Game

I think there was a Knight puzzle in a game called Dread Dragon Droom, but struggling to find too much more about it.

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Saw a poster for a second season of Fortitude, which reminded me I wanted to watch the first. So started on that.
It's very strange, but I'm loving it so far.

Watched The Martian and SING over the weekend. Thoroughly enjoyed both, for different reasons.

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Started watching through Penny Dreadful, missed it up until now, but wanted to watch it from when it was first around. So far so good, and have three seasons to go through if it carries on ok. Tried to watch Netflix "Frontier" - with Jason Momoa. Seems his Khal Drogo was good because he didn't need ...

Re: Which book(s) are you currently reading?

I know they've been around forever, but I've only just been reading through the His Dark Materials books by Philip Pullman. Northern Lights, The Subtle Knife, and now I'm nearly finished with the third of the trilogy, The Amber Spyglass. Really enjoyed them... Before that, I read "Look Who's Back" b...
