Re: 2016/17 Football season chat

Would have been even better to make it 5 different winners in the last 5 years rather than Chelsea win it again

Re: console battle Q13 ORIGINAL XBOX VS GAMECUBE

I have a soft spot for the Gamecube, but the xbox all the way for me. Really got me back into gaming in a big way.

Mind you, still got a few games lined up I never got round to playing...

Re: console battle Q14 XBOX 360 VS PLAYSTATION 3

Had a 360 from about 6 months after it came out. bought the ps3 around 3 years later. never even touched the 360 again apart from one game (Bayonetta).
PS3 all the way for me, even though I really loved the 360 before it.

Re: Favourite videogame adaptations of books

Always had a soft spot for The Hobbit. Wasn't a massive fan of text adventure games, being quite young when I played it, but it was one that I did keep going back to. And the Discworld games, they were pretty good fun and nicely visualised a whole world. Dune on the Amiga, one of very few games I ac...

Re: 2016/17 Football season chat

Former England and Aston Villa defender Ugo Ehiogu has died at the age of 44 after suffering a cardiac arrest at Tottenham's training centre on Thursday.
Had been working as the Spurs Under 23s coach/manager. :(

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Ahhh, I've hear about that. I was thinking about making a cinema trip to see it. I did like Stoker , which was from the same director. Plus, there certain bits which be eye-opening - as you say.  :D I did really enjoy it, I knew nothing more about it going in than that side of things, s...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

My better half wanted to see The Handmaiden. I had no idea what it was about but when she gave me an idea, I naturally agreed. Was actually really good (and not just those bits).

Re: 2016/17 Football season chat

I think that when the title was absolutely definitely out of sight, last season, Spurs just gave up, they just didn't really care about anything else, and that's why they finished third. Nobody expected them to finish that high at the start of the season, and had Leicester not won the league, everyo...

Watched episode one of series one of Billions the other day. Was pretty good, think we'll go through it. Quite like to watch Taboo, I think, as well.

Re: What grinds your gears ?

"Flash is dead! HTML5 FTW!"
both statements were completely and utterly premature. it's only just really switching over (fully) now, in all honesty. and that's because chrome/firefox now block flash content by default on the latest versions, you have to "allow" it now.

Re: 2016/17 Football season chat

It's a shame, they're in total disarray over it all. Much as it makes me smile to see it, he's the best thing that's happened to Arsenal, and half of the supporters who now want him out, are only supporting the club because of him. They should be careful what they wish for, because it's not always e...
