Re: New forum - issues and complaints

It did appear to be a case of somebody having enough, rather than any posts getting any worse to be honest.
Thought things had been pretty mild compared to some of what has come before it.

The straw that broke the camels back, so to speak.

Re: New forum - issues and complaints

Seems like a good way to lose some regulars, tbh. :(
Sad to see.

Re: Today

It was very strange on my commute to work today. My offices are just along Southwark Street, which is at London Bridge. Most of the area is cordoned off still, and I've never seen so many vans, aerials, police, guns, tv cameras etc etc all lining the streets. Very sad state of affairs :( didn't want...

Re: The anti-what grinds your gears thread.

The newish trains on the Circle, Metropolitian, Hammersmith and City and District lines on the London Underground. Guess what? Not only do they have gangways(to allow you move along the train like in normal trains), but they have air con. Yes. Makes all the difference in this type of weather. It's ...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

It was an exhausting non-stop action-packed thriller. Not many films are full-on all of the way through - it's similar to Terminator 2 for me in that respect. But there aren't many others that don't lull at some point. And some of the cinematography is amazing. Of course, it's limited, there's only ...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

I was tempted to go and watch Mad Max Black and Chrome purely because I didn't watch the colour version in the cinema, and felt a bit gutted to have missed it on the big screen. It's a fantastic action film, much much better than I expected it to be. But a) the "noir" is indeed a bit pretentious and...

Re: Today

I just had to pay around £900 for brakepads, discs, tyres, timing belt and a service. If I wasn't driving to France on Friday night I might have had to think twice about whether it was worth it.

Re: What grinds your gears ?

I'm 40 later this year, too :D I'm not really too fussed by it to be honest. I certainly don't feel it. It does make me wonder whether my parents were as "grown up" as they seemed, or if it's a generations thing, and I'm/we're* just a lot less so. *as in my group of friends who mostly seem to be the...

Re: What grinds your gears ?

Amazon is a bit odd sometimes. I ordered 2 lots of Dominion Black Cherry Soda (the best cherryade that I've tried). They were "out for delivery" on Sunday. One turned up, and was left behind our bins. The other was seemingly "returned to Amazon for a refund". Not sure why. Is it possible they just d...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

I've been watching Billions Season 2 as well. I liked the first season. Second season is getting a bit annoying, smug, up itself and a bit tedious and dull. We nearly gave up on it, but might still finish it off. Maybe.

Re: console battle SEMI-FINAL 1 - SEGA MASTER SYSTEM VS SUPER NINTENDO

I never played too much on the Master System, and I've never owned a SNES. I was Commodore 64/Amiga back then. However, I played a lot of SNES games around a friends house, especially in the Summer holidays. So happy memories there.

Re: console battle SEMI-FINAL 2 PLAYSTATION 2 VS XBOX 360

I was never really into the PS2. My step-son had one, but I always played the Xbox or the Gamecube, very rarely the PS2. It broke, and when we moved, we accidentally left it at the old place, propping the front (communal) door open. I've now got one and a massive stack of games for it, just n...

Re: Today

Today (yesterday), my little boy got a bit of a birthday bonus. He's really obsessed with cars and a friend took him for a spin in both of his nice cars. :D 8) https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t31.0-8/18320725_10155418116298825_3200878515450279146_o.jpg?oh=18a780a7af067ecfce0c17e56db853a2&oe=59767A46...
