Retro games on iPhone

I've read that there are quite a few retro emulators on this machine which I am quite keen on. However, one thing puzzles me.............what the heck do you use for controls?

Has anyone got one and how do you find it?

Thanks for the tips guys. The one I've seen on the net comes pre-formatted and partitioned. I do get the choice of having workbench 2.05 or 3.1 installed with it. I think I'll just go for 3.1, no reason except that its the later version. As for WHDLOAD, is this something I need to install onto the A...

Help with hard drive for Amiga A1200

Hi all I picked one of these up yesterday and discovered that I can install a HDD on it. While trawling the web, I found that some people have used a 4GB compact flash drive. I was wondering if any one has experience of this set up and also if its worth getting instead of the 3.5" drive and caddy. O...

I got Orcs and Elves on the DS. I quite enjoyed it. Yes its short but it took me back to the days of Might and Magic 3. Also finally found a copy of Contra 4 also on DS. Plus, finally caved in and got the Heroes of Might and Magic Complete Collectors Edition. It's a lovely little pack with a really ...

Is the Atari 800XL worth keeping

Hi all. Picked up one of these today complete with disk drive and 10 games (including Koronis Rift, Gauntlet, The Eidolon and Blue Max(as part of a 4 in 1 pack)). After some hassle trying to get the disks to work it magically came right (maybe the circuits just needed some warming up after all those...

Many years ago I studied marketing although in the end I didn't pursue that line. Our lecturer once said that in a time of recession, expenditure on entertainment increases. I don't know where he got this from but I think it stems from the fact that if you are feeling down, miserable, worried about ...

I loved the backgrounds in Gradius V on the PS2, especially the level with the big pulsating red fireballs. The ships laser effects also looks awesome.

You can avoid battles completely but only much, much later in the game. I thought it was from around 1/3 to 1/2 way through that you could start avoiding things?[/quote] Maybe I missed something earlier in the game though, but I was only able to fly above the clouds or below the "earth" after ***SP...

I've found that when it come to cartridges, some cotton earbuds and some methelated spirits or if you can find some, rubbing alcohol works well. For commodore 64 tapes, what I did was download the TAP versions of games. I used a conversion program to change it to .wav files and then hooked up a norm...
