Re: please help me find these classic games!

4. An Arcade game from the late 80s. I think it was called King of Beasts - a sort of fantasy wrestling/fighting game where you could choose from a heap of characters like minotaurs etc. I think it came out just before King of Dragons. The best MAME sites I've been able to find have been unable to ...

PSP vs DS for emulation

Can anyone tell me which machine is best for retro emulation? I have a GP32 which works fine and I’m not too keen to get a GP2x if the PSP or DS can do the same/similar thing. I’m guessing the PSP will be the better machine but I have no proof of this. Also, what would I need in terms of flash c...

Something I realised today (and I have no idea why I didn't spot it before). How does it happen that people will have a console with all bits to it, spare controllers etc but no games??? Surely they played games on it at some point so where are they? And conversely, what about people selling loads o...

What game should I play next?

Short and sweet. What should I tackle next from the list below?

Thank you

I'd like a boxed VIC-20 if you have one.
A working Galaxy Invader 1000 would be sweet too.
Finally, an Emerson Arcadia 2001 would be a dream.

I assume there'll be a PAL release :?
I have it on good authority that its definitely true and that theres a PAL release.

Megadrive Collection for PS2 and PSP

Today I found out about the games that will be included in this compilation. The PS2 and PSP are the same. It also features numerous unlockable items that delve into the soul of the Mega Drive, including interviews with the original developers that created the games featured in the collection, a mus...

I know its a bit late and its not a retro character, but I always thought Garrett from Thief was such a cool character. Excellent voice acting really brought him to life as well. I'd also want to add the lone space marine from Doom. Never in the world of video games has one hero stood up against so ...

Monty on the Run (plus Pink Floyd's - The Final Cut). The Final Cut is a Roger Waters album in all but name.. It's full of the tracks the other band members didn't want in The Wall. Still a good album but doesn't really sound like a floyd one, it's closer to Pro's and Cons than Wish you were here.....

I had a go on the Wii today (Nintendo came to our work to demo the unit) and I can say that it absolutely rocks. I played an offroad racing game using the wireless controller as a steering wheel and it felt quite natural. Some guys were playing the orchestra conductor game but I didn't have a go on ...

Re: Final Fantasy 8 - Is it worth playing

I played FF7 a while ago and did enjoy it but felt that it got a bit boring and after 50 hours I was ready to give up. I did finish it with a little help though. Also the constant random battles really got to me. A trip that should take a couple of minutes ended up becoming a long drawn out mission...

Re:

Try skies of Arcadia instead, still lots of random battles but a much more interesting story. I played Arcadia on the GC where the number of random battles was supposedly toned down. It was very annoying at times but along with Tales of Symphonia on the GC I rate it as one of the best RPG's I've ev...
