Can someone contact the chap who runs this arcade and enquire as to: - If he'll be keen to let us descend on his place for the day - If it's possible for us to have the place to ourse...

A date in the new year is fine with me too. The more people we can get down the better. So, suggestions for a date then. Lets start with the month. January or February?

Ok, things are looking positive. Now comes the really tricky part. Deciding on which weekend to meet. I can't make it on 20th and 27th October and maybe 30 September (thats the Retrofusion weekend). Other than that, I'm free. Does anyone here know the owner of the arcade? Maybe we should let him kno...

Suggestion for a meet

I've just read about the arcade in Southampton and then the thought hit me. How about we pick a Saturday and meet up there for the day? It closes at 6pm so those that need to get back home can do and the rest can head off for a meal and more retro chatting. It won't cost much adn I suspect we'll get...

Was the Megadrive II region free?

I'm only asking cause I picked up Dungeons and Dragons - Warriors of the Eternal Sun, at the booty and when I got home I realised that it said "Genesis" on the box, cart and manual. I gave it a try anyway since the cart is the same as the MD ones and it worked. Is it just this game that works on PAL...

Stumbled across this one a few years ago and enjoyed it a lot. There is also a sequel to it but I can remember the name now (and nooooooo it wasn't 1000 mile rally 2).

Wii launch date confirmed - sort of

According to MCV (the games industry mag), the Wii will be launched on 24 November at £149. This is to coincide with the American Thanks Giving day weekend. Final confirmation is expected to come from Nintendo next week at the Tokyo game show. The thing that is making me a little wary is that the m...

I thought I'd update this thread. I now have a PSP ver 1.5. At the moment on the 32MB card I have the C64, Speccy, Intellivision, MD and MAME running on it. I haven't tried the SNES, Atari ST, Amiga, Atari 2600, GBA or the N64. All the games I've tried run at full speed (sometimes a little too much ...

I was just wondering what the latest news is for this. According to RG, the event was in doubt. Has it been cancelled.

Thanks. I was planning of selling it on/swopping for something else since I already have MI 1+2 for Amiga and PC but I've since discovered that its worth a bit more than 70p so I'll hang onto it for a while.

After weeks of absolutely nothing, I hit the mother lode yesterday. Mario Bros handheld £1 Streets of Rage and Thunder Force 4 £2 Powerstone and Soul Calibur (DC) £2 Boxed VIC-20 with boxed tape drive, games (including The Perils of Willy), all for £6 (I'm very happy about this as it was my firs...

VIC-20 Question

Today I finally picked up a VIC-20. It came with the outer box, polys, sleeve, a tape deck and some games. However, there is no power supply and no RF cable. Question is.............can I use the C64 power supply for it and will the C64 SCART cable work?

Thank you

I've had the pleasure of playing the new Metroid FPS on the Wii and I can tell you that it works a treat. It uses the nunchuk controller like a mouse, ie - to look around and shoot. The attachment controller is used to move forward, back and sideways. It took around 5-10 mins to get used to it but a...
