Finally some one else who's heard of IO. Guess that makes 2 of us then. Remembered it fondly from the first time around, but just picked it up off Ebay in the last couple of weeks and was playing it at the weekend. Damn, it's harder than I remember! I think my reflexes are going with age... ...

Help with AV connector

I finally tracked down an Emerson Arcadia 2001 system so now I can relive my childhood as this was the first console I ever had. Its an NTSC machine but my TV is NTSC capable. The problem is that the cable that needs to plug into the TV aerial port looks like the connector of a component cable. It u...

Went to my first booty this morning as well. There were some crazy prices for some stuff like, boxed Atari VCS and some games for £20 (box was tatty and didn't have one of the flaps, £15 for an unboxed Sega gamegear and some games and £10 for a boxed tabletop Scramble. I got FF7, FF8 and Metal Ge...

Re:

Damn, all this after I sell my PSP! Still, I can play Rondo on the original hardware at least :) What do you think they mean by 'updated 3D graphics'.....good or bad? I'm thinking and hoping they mean 3D like in Ultimate Ghosts n Goblins and the recent Sonic Rivals where the the gameplay is 2D but ...

New Castlevania for PSP - including SOTN and Rondo of Blood

Saw this on the DCEMU site and thoguht I'd post it here. Excellent news. If its indeed true. Konami is planning a Castlevania title for PSP - and they're not mucking about either, packing Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood onto the same disc as a full-blown 3D-graphics remake of the latter. Go...

ELSPA looks for new ways to combat piracy

A bit of a long read but some interesting points. One of the most interesting things we read this week came from ELSPA's new director general, Paul Jackson (who has admittedly been in the job for several months, but after over a decade and a half with Roger Bennett at the helm of the trade body you'...

I got both my 2GB mem cards off Ebay for around £25 each. Have a good look through their feedback though as some can be terrible. There are 4GB cards as well but I have no idea what they go for. Online and high street stores are hugely expensive.

Same here. Castlevania: SOTN is around 600MB and the same for Oddworld and Vagrant Story.

Plus you have to pay extra depending on what AV cable you want as it doesn't come included with the console.

I took the plunge yesterday and upgraded my PSP to Dark Alex's 3.03 firmware. Got me emus running and now I can play PSX games. Question now is, what games (besides FF7 and Gran Turismo) are good? I've got Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and so far it hasn't exactly gripped me, althougth to be ho...

Excellent news. I love the C64 so if its in the same format etc it will be brilliant. Are you planning to have the same number of pages and the same size? It should be even more successful than the Speccy one though as so many more people had it and its clearly the superior machine.  :w...

Mine arrived this morning. Looks absolutely great. I'm very relieved that Alien 8 made the list as I rate it as my fav speccy game.

I brought the book to work and its already doing the rounds with colleagues going "wow I remember that!"

Well done Andrew on a superb book. Well worth he wait.
