Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

I finally finished Darks Souls at 3:30am on Saturday morning. That final boss was a censored and a half.
106 hours played :D

Re: Open Pandora - Who's getting one

Agreed about the price. Did a conversion using XE.com and it came to £385. A massive outlay. Hopefully they can do something about the price cause as it is now, you can almost buy a PS3 and a X360 for the same amount. Unless you get em s/h Do you mean the models that were originally released a few ...

Open Pandora - Who's getting one

I had a go on the Pandora at R3play and I must admit that I was completely blown away. Sorry I can't remember the demonstrator's name, but he had Commando running on the C64 emulatorand the controls were perfect. Also saw Spyro running on the PS1 and it was super smooth. I was wondering if anyone is...

Re: What retro hardware have you acquired for free?

A guy at work once saw me bring in a ZX Spectrum. We got to chatting and he said that he had some Amigas in his loft that I could have.
So went round and was pleased to receive 2x A500, A1200 and a CDTV plus loads of disks, joysticks, external floppy drives etc.
Still use the A1200. Awesome machine.

Amiga disk giveaway

Hi all

I have some Amiga disks to give away.
Most have games on them but I have no idea if they work so I will call them blanks.

Let me know how many you want and I will weigh them and let you know what the postage costs are.

Cheers

Re: Running out of room - advice please

I too find it hard some times to be sensible when collecting games and like you, I don't have heaps of space in my house. What I try to do is collect a few systems and then collect the best games for it (the ones that go for sensible prices), the games I used to play or the games I always wanted to ...

Hi res screen shots for MAME

Does anyone know where I can get hi res screen shots for MAME games and marquees?
I am currently using the ones that come with MAME but they look very blurry and pixelated on a 17" screen.

Thank you

Best Bomberman

I'm looking for the best multiplayer bomberman as we have fortnightly games night at work and I thought it would a great little game to play.
I think the best would be a 4 player version so we can sit around 1 screen playing on a single console (PS3 or X360).

Thanks

Re: Future proofing

I don't have any issue with emulation. I run it on PC, DS and PSP. I also have a MAME cab with an X-Arcade stick. The issue is that in time, most if not all hardware will become obsolete due to age and failure. I think we should do what we can to preserve not only the original hardware but also the ...

Future proofing

Has anyone here looked into the idea of "future proofing" their collection? I'm not really talking about spare consoles as this is not really feasible for most of us due to space and money constraints. By this I mean keeping a some spare Mega Drive power supplies, RF leads, joysticks/controllers etc...
