Re: What are you currently playing?

Picked up Singularity and giving that a bash at the mo. A little slow getting going.. but seems pretty decent once it picks up.

I think Xenon 2 deserves a mention as well.

Streets of Rage's hip-hop style round 2 music always brings a smile as does Striders main theme.

Thats a few more on Pyramid heads to do list.....

Tbh, I quite liked Homecoming... a little slow getting going and not as good as the old Sh games, but it was ok once it picked up.

Re: What are you currently playing?

I tend to like games that pay attention to detail though, and Shenmue certainly can't be accused of lacking in detail... Same here. And, your certainly right there. Yu Suzuki even took the weather reports for that area of Japan for the period the game is set; if that isn't attention to detail I don...

Re: What are you currently playing?

I've just embarked upon my first ever playthrough of Shenmue. So far it seems alright, if a little slow. Wish me luck... The first game is something of a slow burner. I'll bet you'll either love Shenmue or hate it; I don't think I've ever seen anyone with a middle of the road opinion. The second ga...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Just having a go at the Gray Matter demo. A nice chilled out game for a change styled off of the old point and click adventures and with its magic, murder mystery theme, I could definitely see myself playing this. The score is also worth a mention; a mixture of easy listening female vocals and orche...

Re: Your current gen games of the year

My top 3..

Nier.. I'll say no more.

Deadly Premonition.

Bayonetta.

Other games I enjoyed, Vanquish, Castlevania Los, Alan Wake and Yakuza 3. My biggest disappointment this year Mass Effect 2.

Re: Best or funniest dialogue in games

Nier's (no essays I promise) npc banter makes me chuckle.. here's a little from a conversation between Kaine and Grimm.. Kaine.. if you had testicle's, I'd cut them off' Grimm.. 'Ah... whats wrong, Did you leave all your strength in your other panties?' Kaine.. 'Why don't you just shut the f'k up, I...

Re: I had an idea for a tattoo...

You've really got to be 100% about getting a tattoo done at the best ot times, it's going to be permanent, remember. Think about how that Pacman is going to look during certain intimate situations with the wife/girlfriend. I couldn't agree more. My advice, go and see a tattooist sit down and ...

Re: What did you like/love but everyone else disliked/hated?

Reasoned context I get. A fanboy-esque diatribe about the nuances of a game that's averagely rated, is a bit OTT. Hence my original post. 'The lady [poster] doth protest too much'. Methinks The last thing I want to do is come across as a fanboy; that mentality drives me nuts. But, I guess it can pr...

Re: MS: 2011 is all about Kinect

Just great to see PS3 getting equal or better in some cases (Mass effect 2 using Mass Effect 3 game engine) Using the Me3 game engine? I tried the Ps3 demo out and tbh it looked worse than the 360 version, imo. The visuals have been sharpened a little but in doing so the area's have lost that sense...

Re: What did you like/love but everyone else disliked/hated?

I experienced something with Nier that the reviews didn't really pick upon and I think its worth people having a closer look, thats all. If I had to criticise the game, I would say it does take a little too long in hitting its stride which is why I understand the reason why people give up on it prem...
