Re: Franchises that have lost there way this gen

DMC4 was awful. It was like they finished making the video game, realised it was too short and decided it'd be a good idea to make you backtrack through half of the stages once and then once again as Dante. Yaaaawn. Although the reboot does actually look really kick-ass. I don't get the Resi 5 hate...

Re: Yakuza 3

I didn't mind the orphan stuff either. It was a nice change of pace from punching people in the face I guess  The one where you have to go buy clothes for one of the boys who's on a date is quite funny. That was probably my favourite of the bunch. I kept an extra save to try the other choice(s...

Re: Don't want no short games, man

Depends what mood I'm in tbh. I don't mind short games if there's plenty of replayability.

Re: Yakuza 3

I`ll probably pick up 1+2 at some point, espically given the price, as for 3? Really do find the concept/Flawed logic behind 'Solving' the Orphan/Dog section enough to convince me game won`t be worth buying until price has dropped and i`m in the frame of mind that tedium can be endured. I du...

So you want it to be all lovely and over shiny. Whips out A-team stylee homemade cabbage launcher...... Okami is one of those games I found to be truly immersive in every aspect; I would just like to see it enhanced to its full potential. Imagine Okami's in-game world running on the n...

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

There is a sequel out next month isn't there, Okamiden? Only on DS though. Its a prequel I think. Going off info relating to Okamiden's storyline it doesn't appear to be a direct sequel but I'm not 100%. I would love to see a full on sequel continuing from where Okami ends with all this gens visual...

Re: Elite 4

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

As for Braben wasn't he working on a game called The Insider? I remember seeing it ages ago and nothing has been released since. I could just have my wires crossed though.

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

Okami. A nice combination of a long game, excellent combat and a beautiful game world topped off with a rather good story. Much better than any Zelda game I've played thats for sure. I couldn't agree more. If I had the money I would happily pay for a sequel especially with the ending being left ope...

Re: What are you currently playing?

God Hand is a bit of an acquired taste, but I certainly agree with you. Its just so much fun and some of those moves just never get old. Clearing up a few old games at the mo before getting on to new stuff; around the time Yakuza 4 hits the shelves. Anyway, the Mrs picked up Prince of Persia for pea...

Re: Games You Disliked but Everyone Else Liked

Quite a few people said that Deadly Premonition was a pretty good game, despite it's graphical limitations. I couldn't disagree any more. Everything about it sucks. Awful graphics, awkward control scheme, ridiculous car handling, storyline ripped almost directly from Twin Peaks, repetitive 4 or 5 e...

Re: The Most Boring Game You've Ever Played

I quite enjoy a game of Hexic now and again as I'm still trying to crack the 2 million score mark.

Uncharted 2. For a game thats looks wonderful and offers so much scope I just found it to be so underwhelming.
