I'd have to agree on that one! Absolutely NO vuvu-bloody-zelas in Brazil please. Shocks: yes, though hopefully no own goals will be punishable by death at these games...

The Wonders of the World Cup

We could meet France... http://www.mallo.co.uk/world-cup-2014.jpg One week away from the start of the World Cup and I'm already looking down the fixture list for the interesting matches. Spain v Holland on the second day; Chile v Australia should also be lively on the 13th. England v Italy on Wed 14...

Re: Phantasy Star 4

Totally agree that number four is the best in the series. For me it's arguably the best game on the Megadrive/Genesis.

It's fast, fluid, and a lot of fun. One of the best Level-Grinders ever made.

Re: Paradroid on the PC Engine

I'm with Mallo. I'll take the word over the person who made the game over anyone else. I'm sure Mallo didn't realise that website belonged to you. If he did, then yes he was rude. I like to give all new members the benefit of the doubt though. Darran, thank you for being fair. I had no idea the web...

Re: Paradroid on the PC Engine

Yes, you should give up on this as your obnoxious attitude derailed this thread all on its own You are clearly taking a partisan attitude here. Laird's response to my OP was a thread-killer. I just pointed that out. I'm not going to give up here just because a couple of bullies decide they don't li...

Re: Paradroid on the PC Engine

And how doesn't it look professional exactly? How much time have you got? Frankly: your website falls well below the standard I would expect from a pro gaming site, but then again: with almost 30 years editing experience under my belt on a number of well-known printed publications and websites, wha...

Re: Paradroid on the PC Engine

I was trying to help you, I won't bother in future. I'm sorry if you were offended by my comments. I don't think you should be so sensitive though: what I said has an element of truth - your site doesn't verify that it's Andrew Hewson actually being interviewed, and it doesn't look particularly pro...

Re: Paradroid on the PC Engine

According to Andrew Hewson there was no such thing: Q) Is it true you had a PC Engine version of Paradroid '90 all finished and it was to be Hewson's 1st crack at the emerging console market? If so, what became of it? Was it never released because PC Engine didn’t get a UK release? Umm, that’s news...

Paradroid on the PC Engine

I can't remember which issue it was, but I'm sure I read in an issue of RG recently Andrew Braybrook saying that a completed prototype of Paradroid existed for the PC Engine. Possibly PC Engine CD only. I've searched these forums, and have done a quick search on Google and can find no mention of it....

Re: What are you currently playing?

Just been playing Death Pit on the ZX Spectrum for the first time. Durell never released it because apparently it wasn't up to scratch, but it's not all that bad. Quite enjoyed it for an hour. Might even go back to it.

Re: Formula One 2014 season

It was a very enjoyable race I thought. It was enjoyable, in spite of all the errors. Raikkonen not having the turning circle to avoid the corner was dramatic, though that was caused by his back left being flipped by the inside curb momentarily. I can understand Hamilton's mood. I don't think I wou...

Thanks for the tip. I was struggling with SevenUp, but ZX Paintbrush is more like it. Looks like Paintshop Pro, but for ZX Spectrum graphics. Just what I'm looking for!

Help creating ZX Spectrum graphics

I want to create some ZX Spectrum graphics and am currently researching art packages. I've looked at Melbourne Draw and The Artist II, both of which are quite clunky. Does anybody have any suggestions about which ZX Spectrum-based art packages are best to use in this day and age? I'd like to keep th...

Re: Trademark Trolling by King Games?

i'm more ashamed of the millions of lemmings who seem to love Candy Crush and are chucking bucketloads of money down on this game every day. I think you hit the nail on the head there: the kids playing it neither know nor care about Albert Ransom - they are just hooked on the game. Their parents do...
