Re: best in game oddities cheats and easter eggs

SNES sensibile soccer suffered from guaranteed goal syndrome. Shoot from justy inside the opposition's half from either side of the centre circle and it would 100% go straight in. I could finish games with absurd scores like 21-2 ha ha.

Re: Your Wall of Shame

Quadraxis on GC Metroid Prime 2. Rage crushed my disc twice lol. Ofcourse, may have been much easier if any of the gamefaqs guides bothered to mention you had to shoot his head before you could boost-jump on top during the final section.

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Ha, nice little haul there NC. I recall playing MS NewZeland Story while waiting up late to watch Beavis & Butthead years ago. dc Ikaruga - hope I like it as it wasn't cheap lol (though not too bad, not like Border Down or Rez sheesh) How much may I ask? Copy went on NTSC-uk for £24 recently.. Price...

Dreamcast Swapsies

I have Soul Calibur if anyone wants to dispose of any SNES (PAL) or DC (PAL or UK Import) games ? It's got the usual flimsy DC case but is undamaged and complete.
I've also got Fighting Force 2 but TBH I think it's sh*t so that's up for free before the bin get's it.

Not 100% on topic but my local Sainsburys have Lego Halo Pelican Dropships at half price.

I don't want, but I do want one etc.

The One(s) that got away

I consider myself very much part of the SNES/etc & Playstation1/etc generations and have always be keen on racing games but I'm almost embarrassed to admit I have never playerd Wipeout. The nearest I ever got was Extreme G on N64.

Lament your missed opportunities here. :)

Re: the death throws of a console

The end of a console's life is when developers have a full grip of the console and arguable the most impressive technical games are released, for example Capcom's later Saturn titles. True.Often the case though where developers they ask more than hardware can deliver:Perfect Dark Frame rate on N64....

Re: best in game oddities cheats and easter eggs

I recall Shadows of the Empire had a cheat that allowed you to take control of enemy soldiers. You could kill other badguys.......or yourself..... Certainly easier than getting all those Challenge Points! Easeier than killing that robot boss in the palace on hard . Seriously that took me like 2 hou...

Re: Not Feeling the Dreamcast Love

Despite buying one when they were new and having most of the "essential" titles it's never grabbed in the same way the SNES and PS1 have. Never liked the pads as they made my hands ache after a very short time as well as the disc drive being seriously loud. The cases are also completely useless and...

Super Axelay always kicks my ass. I was able to do the final mission in Driver but hated every second of it.

Re: best in game oddities cheats and easter eggs

SNES Street Fighter 2. Inputting a code on the capcom screen allowed a Vs battle with the same charicter and the single player campaign had the charicters in alternative costumes. Why hide that ?
