Re: Sony announces Playstation 1 Classic

For me it's always been either a console or a PC. A console is generally much easier (ie; plug in and play, literally) but the pc can do much more with things like modding, emulation etc.
I'm not really sure where the Pi sits in-between the two.

Re: Sony announces Playstation 1 Classic

Pi is aimed at people who like building stuff like that. Basically, weirdos. ;)

Re: GODS Remastered

Oh and yes only four levels. I only really remember the 3rd which was a Wizards workshop or something and may/may not have involved collecting materials for potions or something. Boss was a dragon.

Re: Buying CD's

I ripped all my old DVDs and CDs to file then sold all the worthwhile ones and charity shop'd the rest. Within the month my hard drive utterly shat itself so now I buy physical copies, have a decent SSD and store the discs.

Re: GODS Remastered

Yes, there are four levels. I don't think that it's a particularly short game though, as they're quite dense and it's far more puzzle based than a typical 90s platformer. You could probably speedrun something like Sonic in less than half the time it takes, for instance. The ending - on the ST at le...

Re: GODS Remastered

I always found Gods be a overly difficult and broken game. The insane difficulty to compensate for only having 4 levels. It remind me of Capcoms Black Tiger or Dynamics Satan on the C64. Dynamic was another company that insisted on making there games as hard as humanly possible. Game Over 2 was ver...

Re: Sony announces Playstation 1 Classic

While it's interesting to see people play with it I don't really understand why anyone would buy and hack a PSMini over something like a Pi.

Re: Fighting Fantasy

Wasn't Trial of Champions essentially Deathtrap Dungeon with some gladiatorial trials before hand? Did I remember that correctly? Pretty much, but most Ian Livingstone books are essentially the same dungeon crawl, even when they're above ground. So many T-junctions, even in Forest of Doom... I was ...

Re: GODS Remastered

Might get this. Only ever played the SNES port, which felt like a clunky Castlevania/Metroid clone, but I was kinda fond of it.

Re: What are you currently playing?

I've been having a great time in Spintires:Mudrunners. In my 35 years of gaming I’ve never played a game that is so unpleasant to play. It’s a horrible game environment, it actively hurts your right trigger finger as you desperately try to get any speed going, it couldn’t be more brown, it explains...
