Re: Another band to reunite?

Yeah the thought's crossed my mind  I wouldn't do it though, don't think I've ever sold a ticket for more than face value! Come June 29th, the band walk on stage and Mani starts the bass rumble of I Wanna Be Adored... can you imagine what the atmosphere will be like!? Electric won't even begin ...

Re: Another band to reunite?

I managed to get a ticket for all 3 nights :D I'm going to be paying for it for some time to come but I don't expect them to stick around for too long after the tour and it's only a tram ride away, so I thought I might as well go for it! Can't wait for June...

Re: Fifa 12 - Momentum

On this generation of consoles, I've only bought and played the FIFA games while on my PS2, I played PES/Winning Eleven exclusively (every version from PES2 to PES6). I've not bought 12 yet but the last two versions of the game have, to me, had much less scripting than PES did - that used to infuria...

Re: Manchester United Europe Amiga

I had a dodgy copy of it on the Archimedes too - I agree with everyone in that it was actually a pretty decent game! Not that we were exactly spoilt for choice on that format though :)

Re: what retro game are you currently playing ?

I've been playing a bit of Sonic 3 last week - never owned a Mega Drive (or any 16-bit console for that matter) back in the day so it's good to play them properly. Having said that, I've spent more of the week trying to set up emulators on XBMC than actually playing any games!

Re: Another band to reunite?

I live in Manchester too, have been a big Roses fan since my teens and was over the moon to hear the news yesterday :D Expected tickets to be about £50 so I guess it'll work out at over £60 once you've added all the crappy rip-off fees in but you just know getting hold of a ticket on Friday is still...

Re: 2011/12 Football Season chat (contains MOTD spoilers)

For me, I couldn't imagine feeling as gutted now as I did when England were knocked out of Italia '90 or Euro '96 - I just can't bring myself to care that much about international football any more. Even when we beat Germany 5-1, there was still quite a buzz around that but I think the fickleness of...

Re: Looking to build a database of retro game stores

Like everyone else has said, I think this is a very good idea!

In Liverpool, there's Level Up - not the biggest shop in the world but the stuff they sell is very reasonably priced! http://www.leveluponline.co.uk/

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?

Saw The Wizard for the first time the other day - pretty awful film but it was a cool snapshot of gaming in that era to see the debut of SMB3, Power Glove, the Nintendo hotline etc... Hang your head in shame!!! ....The Wizard is a quality movie, yea, its a one hour 30 min advert for Nintendo,...

Re: What games do you hate that everybody else seems to love

MGS2 - the ridiculously lengthy cut-scenes sapped my will to play the game!

Ico - sold this on years ago but found it dull and frustrating at the time...

Re: Poll - Do you play new releases?

The only current release I play (and even that's only on a semi-regular basis) is FIFA on the 360. I bought NFS Hot Pursuit partly on the strength of RG's review and have enjoyed that but otherwise, I don't usually have the time or inclination to play through new releases or sit through lengthy intr...

Re: Introduce yourself

Hi guys :) I'm 28 and divide my time between Manchester (where I work) during weekdays and Liverpool (where I was born and have lived most of my life) at weekends. I registered quite a while ago but haven't got round to posting until now! My first computer was a Spectrum +2 and then I progressed to ...
