Re: Weird design decisions, plotholes and so on.

I always marveled at the preponderance of herbs and ammo scattered throughout the Resident Evil games. Yes, the inventory management/item conservation aspects make perfect sense for a survival horror games, but who keeps shotgun shells in their cupboard or a crucial yellow herb in the sewer?

I prefer console, but harbor no ill will toward computer gamers – I can certainly see the appeal.

Re: Documentaries

Also on C4 tonight is "Exit through the gift shop" featuring the illusive street artist Banksy. The story of how an eccentric French shop keeper and amateur film maker attempted to locate and befriend Banksy, only to have the artist turn the camera back on its owner. An excellent choice, and certai...

Re: love it or hate it the n64

Loved it. Then again, I'm a sucker for any console if you put the right games in it -- so when my collection for the N64, though meager, included F-Zero, Smash Bros, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Jet Force Gemini... mmm. Good times.

Back to the Game Boy dropped from the top of a house on to the road/pavement though, I think you should try it out! Put your money where your mouth is, so to speak! If someone can provide me an original model Game Boy, I will gladly give it a shot. :D Progressive heights, surfaces... I ha...

Re: Nintendo revenue falls to lowest in 30 years

I do have to ask, though: When Nintendo's collapse signals the potential fall of the console industry in general, will there be anyone left to not give a flying rat poop? :( Newsflash: Nintendo is not the whole games industry and should they ever "collapse" the rest of the industry will carry on re...

Re: unbreakable

I actually believe the rumors about early Nintendo playtesters and how they put their systems through endurance trials -- including such feats as throwing v.1 Game Boys off the roofs of houses and playing them afterward. You actually believe that? Really? Yeah, I do. Lord knows I put my Nintendo pr...

Re: Nintendo revenue falls to lowest in 30 years

Rubbish. We're not in a recession? I going to guess speedlolita was referring to the comments about Nintendo going under. Nintendo is certainly in a rough spot, but I firmly believe they will pull through. Call me a fanboy or a homer, but when you consider the unexpected, colossal success of the Wi...
