Re: Are you a fan of the Gizmondo?

I think it's a great system. Build quality is excellent, nice screen, plus I got mine with all the Gizmondo games on an SD card along with the megadrive emulator and music videos.

Re: What would I need to have a working PC Engine setup?

I have a white PC Engine not modded, RF works okay on my old Hitachi CRT. Not the best picture ever but good enough to have a blast on Final Match Tennis every now and then.

Re: Apple - the future of video gaming?

Just to clarify my own position regarding my appreciation for apple products, I've had my 3GS phone for over 2 1/2 years, and despite having a considerably shattered screen for over a year I've felt no compulsion to upgrade or replace. I don't play games on it but find it to be the best phone / mult...

Re: Apple - the future of video gaming?

I have an iPhone and iPad and consider them to be nothing short of fantastic. But if I want current gen portable gaming I'll always go back to my 3DS or PSP.

Ridge Racer HD does look pretty on the iPad though. Oh and Pool suits the screen perfectly.

Re: The Neo-Geo... Who has got one?

I have a boxed AES in very good condition, but only 1 game. I'm always on the lookout for another cart but am unlikely to drift over the £20 mark.

Exhaust Heat 2 - hidden games?

Good morning retro gaming folks,

I have this cart for the Super Famicom and recall once my mate telling me that there was a Battleship game hidden within it. I've tried entering the codes listed on Gamefaqs but can't seem to make anything happen.

Does anyone have tried and tested method available?

Re: 1992 - Let's go back

Re Super Tennis: It was indeed a brilliant game, second only to Final Match Tennis on the PCE  If you havent played it yet I really recommend it. Whilst Super easily beats it in terms of graphics, sound etc. Its in the gameplay itself where FMT rules supreme. Ditto. Love that game and am very...

Re: 1992 - Let's go back

It wasn't until a new computer arrive when my eldest brother bought the Amiga 1200, bundled with Zool , Pinball Dreams , Striker and Transwriter . I got the same box of games with my A600 Weird Wild & Wicked pack just before Christmas. I was able to trade in my C64 and disk drive for £130, and got ...

Re: Game Focus... gone! :(

That's a shame although I hadn't been in for quite a while.

Last time I was there they had an AES for £300 inside the cabinet. I'm sure I saw a Japanese boxed Saturn on the shelf for a more realistic £40.

I picked up Super Double Dragon on the SNES there once for a fiver, which cheered me up.

Re: 20th Anniversary of the Super Nintendo

I still can't work out where 2 of my mates each got their £64.99 from to buy Street Fighter II back in the day, but either way I was glad they did.

Fast forward 20 years and the console still oozes quality.

Re: Which consoles have you sold but now wish you had kept

I've got so much stuff I should really sell as I've no real inclination to play them (Master System, Jaguar, Atari ST, N64, Turbo Grafx, Gameboy Micro, Neo Geo etc) but I can't help thinking if I sold them I'd get an itch to buy them again. I've got 3 SNES consoles and 3 Megadrives, and I'd still ne...

Re: Promote your local RETRO Independent

Whenever I travel up to Lincoln I always make sure I check out Gotham Games just down from Game. It's a really cool little place. They always have plenty of boxed / loose retro games and consoles at reasonable (well Ebay comparable) prices as well as peripherals and current gen. You'll always find s...
