Re: Increasing retro game prices, how and why?

I'm glad I started properly collecting in 2008 and not now, looking at the way prices have steadily risen. As it is I peaked in December and am now on the way back down to a degree. Was quite pleased to get £65 for my unboxed Jaguar with loose games, as well as another £70 for my Turbo Grafx. Even t...

Re: Sleeping Dogs

Hmm not remotely convinced. I find the driving experience in Sleeping Dogs to be far too shallow and forgiving which removes the fun factor for me. Each to his own.

Re: wii U

Similarly I couldn't wait for Zombi U to arrive and yet a week later I still haven't opened up the case. That must change this weekend. I'm not enjoying all the negativity around Nintendo / Wii U but I still remain optimistic that my modest Nintendo-related gaming requirements will be fulfilled thro...

Re: Sleeping Dogs

I picked up Sleeping Dogs for the PS3 a few weeks ago and agree that the combat is great. I'm more than a little surprised though to read comments on here that the vehicle handling experience is superior to GTA 4. It feels disappointingly basic to me in this area and is a long way short of it's high...

Re: Wii U Owners Thread - Including User IDs

I've certainly found NSMBWU more enjoyable as I've played through it. There's some pretty cool levels as you go along. I'd say if you can pick a copy up for £25 or under then you wouldn't feel too mugged off.

Zombi U arriving tomorrow. Time to see what all the fuss is about. 8)

Re: Wii U Owners Thread - Including User IDs

Out of interest how do PS1 / PS2 games appear on a 60gb PS3?

My Wii U turned up on Thursday with Super Mario Bros and despite being far from blown away I'm looking forward some future releases. The Aliens game really needs to live up to expectations I feel.

@ thingonaspring: Re: the pic you've posted and the games' original price stickers, There's something 'nice' about snagging a game for a Pound or so and seeing a price sticker of £39.99 on it... or maybe that's just me! :D nah not just you i always love it to see the orginal price and then the pric...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

I'm afraid the lure of the Wii U has got the better of me. Bought a brand new basic pack with Super Mario U for £205 delivered (Ebay).

Re: Does anybody find the current-gen consoles...

I think the iPad/iPhone games are certainly overrated (and I say this as a owner of both systems which I think are fantastic otherwise). I am a long way from being a hardcore gamer but I can't agree with the OP when I get so much fun out of playing Forza Horizon, Red Dead Redemption and Wii Sports G...

Re: Retro gaming in London

Out of interest, what happened to the place in Notting Hill? Whereabouts in Notting Hill is it? If there's a bus strike on and I can't get the bus home after a 1am finish I usually walk back home (2 and a half hours baby hell yeah!) and could scout it for you. (I usually walk down the main Uxbridge...

Re: Playstation Vita games discussion thread

Was playing NFS last night, can't say I really enjoyed it but that's probably got more to do with the franchise than the Vita itself. Oh and I was half cut.

I think a Gran Turismo game would work better.

Question / favour - CD32 controller

I have a knackered CD32 console that won't load games (disc just spins) and want to flog the controller for it. The thing is I want to be sure the controller is in full working order as I don't know if I ever got chance to fully test the one I have. The best I've managed to do is put an audio CD in ...
