Not a bad issue. The Durell article looks good. Nice to see more making of articles and finally a look at the Wonderswan. However, slightly worrying to see the back cover hasn't been sold. Whatever spin the staff put on it, that is one of the prime parts of the mag (in fact *any* mag ) in terms of s...

I'll write it.

"Partly good in the early years, turning to poorly written rubbish in the later years."

That'll be 500 quid please.

I enjoyed Blood Money on the Amiga and the ST. Often forgotten about game that one.

Space Harrier was a different take on the genre, what with being in 3D.

Well yeah but CU was still a high page count and glossy at the end. It didn't...well it didn't turn into Amstrad Action. Or Commodore Format for that matter... i remember being reassured by a Future rep at a trade show that they weren't scrapping it in the near future, only for the final issue to a...

It was, or at least it's last ABC certainly was, although CU Amiga was deliberately pulled "early" so it didn't have a decline. It does seem to be possible to make a mag for fewer people these days. 360 mag gets 13,000 despite being massively better than any other specific 360 mag out there but sur...

Was never a YS fan, came across too comicy. I was always a Crash man so have a much bigger soft spot for Oli's work. I think most Spec-chums bought Crash1 , and then it was a choice of either SU (sensible) or YS (not) In the early years Crash outsold YS, but not post 1990. And as for SU, it was a h...

The US game shops were professionals when the EU scene were still in their knickers. I really don't want to visit my local Gamestation now if that fat bloke who works behind the counter has dropped his kex... Good point here though. Buying games in the 8 and 16 bit era was a different experience. T...

I couldn't bring myself to play something someone has coded in their bedsit. Yes, because the Oliver Twins perfected their skills in a shiny office block. And of course, Matthew Smith programmed his games in a state of the art building in a glass dome with jetpacks guarded by sharks with laser beam...

Re:

But how can you get misty-eyed about a game that you didn't play 20 years ago because it was only created last week? It's not about getting misty eyed! Some of us never stopped playing these games. If someone does a cracking remake of a classic game or a new game that feels "old-skool" then...

Does anyone sell proper digital joysticks for PC use? Not joypads, but proper joysticks like Cheetah and Konix used to make. Cheetah and Konix - two heavyweights of the peripheral world! What was the joystick that Cheetah made where it sat in the palm of your hand? That was a brave attempt at doing...

Yes, that's right, a joystick roundup.

Actually, not that bad an idea. Does anyone sell proper digital joysticks for PC use? Not joypads, but proper joysticks like Cheetah and Konix used to make.
